Hell, I'm only on chapter 56 of the first manga and would have expected her to end up with Kaneki, but could easily see how literally anyone else would probably make a better partner.

It was interesting in a way, considering she was described as homely several times by characters in the manga, so I guess the draw was that she wasn't some super fleshed out idol-looking pop princess with a dynamic (but ironically static) personality.

On that same note, I hate mangas where by the end of the manga, literally everyone in the manga is paired up with someone, even if they made absolutely no inclination that they were interested in said character, or relationships in general. Naruto comes to mind. I'm glad One Piece strayed away from it. Everyone was too busy being dead in Akame ga Kiru so it never came to fruition unless you like getting impaled by dragon cock.
