The main menu suffers a bit of readability, the ransom note font is iconic but i wish they'd chosen something a bit easier on the eyes for the main menu. I don't think the menu is organized particularly well either, and I wish Party had been named Stats, which is more descriptive of why I visit that screen. Having the flavor text on the right side of the screen styled in a very similar way to the menu options is sort of a bummer too.

At the end of the day though, it LOOKS incredible, and I can put my UX autism away for an entertainment product that isn't supposed to have everyday functionality.

You can rotate them out mid dungeon, and when they're on the bench they heal Hp/SP. That's why people share roles as far as elements/healing etc go. So you can freely swap between them to increase the amount of time you can stay in a dungeon without spamming items.

Coffee\curry would be a good alternative but you have to either spend time to do it, which is VERY bad or pay money to kawakami...money which you can use to buy sp regen instead.

And the longer you play the more broken it is: you have sp regen AND kawakami doesn't cost any money AND she will work every day for you AND you get vegetables AND you can buy potatoes AND you can trade figurines for sp brews...you get shat on sp regen in the begginning but it only matters in first palace because it's long (and only if you rush it instead of doing it on last week) and second palace is split up so you regen sp anyways.

Basically, by the time you can buy sp regen 3 you get enough sp to clear any palace in one shot (expecially if you use autismo confusion) and right after you do that game starts shitting even more sp regen options for you. Would have been better without sp regen or at least make it Death 10 locked and Joker-only.

P5s fits the games aesthetic is all, it's not a very good menu beyond that, it straight up lacks information you want, and it's an eyesore with random pointless shit at the top right, and 33-50% of the screen being flat out unused wasted space whilst they cram the few things that are there all in the one spot for no reason, and then have absolutely no kind of alignment or shape to the list just random indendation that doesn't even match the shape of the hand it's meant to be layered on.

P5s sub menus are far better than its main one, at least mostly, the equipment one and the equipment shop one are pretty awful too.

I was kind of hoping that they would let you skip the first dungeon entirely and have the game start directly from 4/18 but I guess that's off the table.

Speaking of which, does this game the longest non-gameplay opening or what? In P3 it was like two hour. In P4 I was told by my brother that it was 5 hours before I get to play the game for real, and I assumed he was joking, but no, my game clock was 4:55 when I finally got to make my own calls on what to do during a day. In this game it's 8 HOURS. Jesus. It just keeps getting longer. At this rate, P6 starts with a 17 hour linear segment where you just mash through conversations and follow a script in dungeons.

- All randomness has been removed from skill inheritance so upper tier fusions take five seconds instead of 2 hours (FUCKING FINALLY)
- If a fusion result isn't in your registry yet, it gets marked with a *NEW* (I can't believe it took this long for them to add this)
- Story dungeons are no longer random, they're entirely hand made (huge upgrade in level design)
- UI improvements: instead of a menu, all options are just mapped to buttons
- Transitions into and out of battle are faster, animations are way faster = less wasted time
- All social links give you bonus perks now, instead of just the playable character ones (huge balance upgrade)

I feel like I'm forgetting some of the important ones but that's off the top of my head. It's just a ton of quality-of-life improvements and balance fixes.

And the S.Links actually giving you stuff other than their exclusive Persona at the end certainly makes me happy to gear, I was lamenting before how all the School Clubs were actually the same (both Sports and Culture Clubs), with the very same people and story, only with a different backdrop and it meaning nothing

The options being mapped to different buttons and the combat in general being faster is also a godsend, more than once I've selected "attack" by accident and got wiped out by it

You don't join any school club in P5 what they did do in p4 was if you join a different school club you get a different person with a different SL storyline.
For exampe you can choose between choosing the basketball theme or the soccer team.
If you join the soccer theme the social link is about the guy on the left and his trouble with his ex-GF and if you join the basketball team the social link will be about the guy on the right and his family problems.
They are both the strength arcana social link, but the storyline will be different depending on which club you join which was pretty cool.
