I just bought this game since it hit a discount of over 50% but I feel eons behind everyone,even in casual mode it all seems a clusterfuck of explosions and nobody explains shit,I did those singleplayer situations but it didn't help me much before covering the basics of how to do the objectives.

Or you could watch some "pro" players giving tips on youtube. KingGeorgeTV is actually doing attack and defense guides for new players on every map. He's not done with that series yet but it's currently covering most maps.

And when you are attacking - save the drone at the start if someone already has found the objective and drone your way forwards. Gather intel where the enemies are and for the love of god don't ping enemies unless you have a friend peeking that corner at the same time. Pinging enemies will only alert them that there is a drone and they will look for it.

Just keep playing Casual. Even when you unlock ranked you should still keep playing casual, get a feel for the characters.

SAS operators are good for beginners. They're good in ranked too but their operators seem less situational than a lot of the others.

Some operators have very specific tasks and sometimes only work well when paired with another operator. SAS are more forgiving in my opinion.
