to be honest, i can see how someone could use a drawing tablet in place of a mouse. i'm pretty sure tablet pens have buttons on them and can be mapped to clicks, and not everyone needs a bunch of extra buttons.

I will always defend the shitty fucking pandas

I quit in WotLK, right after the shitty tournament raid. I hold no love for anything past that point. I remember every fucking day seeing people asking for pandas though. Way back at the start of BC since new races were added people started screaming for pandas to be the next one. When the April fools joke about the wisp race came out people used it as an excuse to ask for pandas. When the fucking guitar hero bard class April fools came out I saw panda talk.When WotLK was announced pandas were fucking shouted about in the streets, give us pandas! give them to us for the new races! This is what we want Blizzard! every where you went. Forums, guilds, zone chat, I saw it at least a few times a week, big discussions about pandas and wanting them.

Then, after all those years, after all those cries and pleas they're announced.

Negative. It has been a running joke for a long time and people loved the idea before it was implemented in WoW.

Also, learn to read a chart. Right now, Padaren are 5.6% for characters above 10. You forgot to look at both Horde and Alliance slices on RealmPop. 100% divided by 13 (the number of races) is 7.69%. Not even Draenei, the 4th most popular race, is above that number. They are at 6.7%. BE, NE, and Human skew any possible popularity balance.

Races with lower population than pandas with your criteria:

Dwarf - 4.2%
Gnome - 4.1%
Goblin - 3.2%

Two of these are vanilla WoW races. The third and least popular one has always at least had major presence in every WoW game.
