What's your favorite game on the N64?
OoT
puzzle league
donkey kong 64
that fucking arcade game pissed me the fuck off though
Smash Bros
Snowboard Kids 2 and Star Wars Episode I: Racer are close though.
Marvelous
>>377883991
Tie between OoT and CBFD. JFG was amazing too.
Hard to pick between Blast Corps and Banjo-Kazooie.
>>377883991
Harvest Moon 64. Played way too much of that and itdoomed me by introducing me to waifus.
>>377884297
I can't tell you how many hours I spent playing that game. My sister was notoriously good at it too.
Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness
And also the first game I ever played
Paper Mario. Also my favorite game ever for a long time.
Hybrid Heaven
I played the absolute fuck out of this
I never got tired of it and only stopped once the cube came out
>>377884343
>My sister was notoriously good at it too.
Same. She rarely played vidya but when I showed her HM64 I'd catch her up late as hell playing it.
>>377883991
Perfect Dark
>>377884197
It's not even close to my favorite game on the N64, but I will never understand why so many people consider Goldeneye to be the peak of shooters not only on the N64, but in general when PD outclasses it in nearly every category.
Banjo Tooie by far.
Beetle adventure racing
>>377884823
PD wouldn't exist without it. It's more of a revolutionary thing than an actual better game..
Kind of like how every Ravensoft DOOM 1.5 is better than DOOM but they never get as much love

Hello John M
>>377884491
Please leave underage.
Id say Mario kart 64 because it was a game my whole family could play together, which was the only time.
This isn't my absolute favorite, but saying something more obvious is pointless.
This game is a gem though. I wish it had been a bit more relevant and we saw a sequel.Shake shake
>>377883991
The game that matches the console. MM.
>>377885270
There was also a gold OoT.
>>377885339
huh you're right, I only had the normal one then the holographic gold MM cartridge
>>377885098
>underage
>game is 20 years old
I was like 4 when I first played back in 97
>>377885456
Yeah, the game version on the gold OoT is earlier than the one that ended up on the regular gray carts, so there are different glitches to be abused etc. Kind of neat.
Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Smash 64, Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Donkey Long 64, Banjo Kazooie, Blast Corps, Paper Mario, Turok, Doom 64, Pokémon Stadium 1 & 2, and Pokémon Snap.
>>377885503
I was like 10 when I played it in 2000.
>>377885270
Like this?
>>377885597
>says "game"
>proceeds to list the n64's greatest hits
The point was to pick just one game as your favorite, not list your top 10 you turbo autist.
>>377885696
That's some good shit anon
>>377885270
Goldeneye is pretty good
>>377884157
>be 8
>mom buys me this from Walmart
>doesn't check rating
>get home and play
>mom walks buy and hears the characters swearing
>makes me play on mute from then on
>get to the pile of shit boss
>mom watches and sees
>takes cartridge out in midst of boss and throws it into trash
>goes out next day and comes home with fucking paperboy as apology
Does it still hold up? I don't remember much really except the beginning and the shit boss, but I remembered it recently and have been wanting to play through it.
>>377884823
most of those retards probbaly never played PD and didnt know it was a "sequel" to goldeneye
>>377886246
Do it.
It's great.
>>377886246
>adult themes such as a giant poo are complete unsuitable for my child!
Let me guess, your mother had absolutely no sense of humor?
>>377886246
Play it, it's marvelous.
>>377884197
this
>>377885258
>>377884157
Some of the most fun multiplayer I've ever had.
>>377883991
Does mario kart 64 emulate well?
>>377885258
I came here to post this. Mischief Makers is great. I wish N64 emulation was better.
Sin and Punishment
Mario Golf
Unironically the best golfing game
>>377890057
I wanted to like this game but just couldn't get into it at all.
I even read the Nintendo Power articles about it back in the day and got hype for finally being able to play it years later.
>>377886246
It's a lot of fun if you're into that kind of humor. Dk/banjo are better in terms of gameplay, tho.
Starfox 64. It's the only one that hasn't aged at all.
Perfect Dark.
>>377883991
Paper Mario 64, it's my favorite game in general.
Turok 2
Goldeneye
Perfect Dark
>>377886662
>Letting an 8-year old play conker
>Have the little shit run around cussing and talking about tits and pussy
Fuck off and don't breed. He had a good mother.
>>377884197
I made that image years ago.
Holy shit.
Never see this mentioned in these threads.
>>377890202
>Going into the tutorial mode
>Get to the free roam part
>Make my own little story about a lone pilot making a last stand against an an army
>Weaving through buildings and making enemies crash into them.
>When I got bored I'd "Run out of ammo" and let them shoot my wings down
>Slowly crash myself into the floor
Holy shit I was little autist but that was the best. I could do that for hours. Good times.
>>377884668
Nuke deployed
>>377884197
1. I guess
2. definitely not huge, less than 2 hours to finish story
3. I guess
4. true

8. can't comment

10. pretty nice feature
11. good but best OST in any game is exaggerating
12. true
