Switching an oath costs 50 oath (half of our new oath gauge). You cannot exit an oath IN COMBAT without first paying 50 oath.

You generate oath by using auto attacks and using weapon skills, like DRK. In sword oath, your oath generation is near doubled because you auto attack twice (technically) in sword oath. In shield oath however your oath generation is significantly slower.

From what we know, buffs do not impact your oath gauge, same for WAR and DRK. We need to use globals and autos to generate it.

As a side note, DRK is the only tank that does NOT lose any blackblood when activating grit.

There just really isn't a reason for it except to keep from hurting the feelings of shit DPS players who did less damage than tanks even after they already nerfed tank damage.

Being a good tank and also contributing 2/3rd as much damage as a good DPS is fun. Having to just sit there and watch DF players hit the hard enrage on Normal Mode raids because your contribution to party damage is so low is not fun.

It doesn't really change the way the game is played, but combined healer/tank damage was what set great groups apart from "good" groups and Yoshi specifically said that they wanted "good and "great" to be farther apart and "bad" and "good" to be closer together, so it seems like a bit of a reversal of their previous position to nerf tank and healer damage so much.

Something that looked like Bio 3 and Miasma 3, an MP drain spell that eats an Aetherflow stack, the skill that summons Bahamut and then the last one is possibly Ruin 4. Cleric stance was a 10% boost to damage, 100% of the time. Now it's a 5% boost to damage, 15 (or maybe 20, I forget, doesn't really matter) seconds every 90 seconds.

Changing healing spells to scale off of Mind was a REALLY good change, and they absolutely should have done it - but they should have kept Cleric Stance as an actual permanent stance on a toggle, that boosts damage by 10% and nerfs healing into the ground, for players who are good enough to know how to maintain uptime on it while still healing.

If you're not good enough to deal with the risk, you can get about 90% of your damage by just never turning Cleric Stance on. If you are good enough to deal with the risk, you can do your full damage.
