I'll start
>>377877712
This is fast racing neo
>>377878590
No.
>>377877712
Mischief Makers?
>>377878590
Fast racing neo is wipeout
>>377877712
>>377878693
No
They are just as playable then as they are now they don't need to be remade.
>>377878756
OP said modern revivals, not remakes, so I assume he means new games.
>>377877712
This and Beetle Adventure Racing. They were pretty fun at the time. Still are I imagine.
The Top Gear series
>>377877712
I'm literally the only person that ever played this
>>377879304
This too
>>377879648
>I'm literally the only person that ever played this
No you aren't you retard. They wouldn't have made like four sequels if that was true.
>>377879648
I love extreme g so much. God tier ost.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4U73qvpqp0
>>377879648
I have 2, it's like F-Zero but more '90s sci fi'
>>377879648
>I'm literally the only person that ever played this
Fuck no.
Superman 64
>>377878919
an new extreme G game or mischief makers would be pretty much the same except updated graphics. Even then there are alternative modern racing and platform games just as good
>>377877712
I have such bad memories of this game because it was what I was playing when my house burned down when I was 5.
I was making a pillowfort. I needed a light but the lamp wouldn't fit unless I took off the lampshade. My mother called me to help her shopping. I loved to help my mom shop because she would always take me to Blockbuster on her way home. I picked up Extreme G.
When we got home there was a strange smell but we thought nothing of it. I immediately went to the downstairs living room to play the game. Half an hour later, my mother called for me, screaming. I ran upstairs and saw the burning pile of blankets and pillows. In my excitement to leave I forgot to turn off the light, and in the compact space of the fort, it set the blankets on fire.
It was too big to smother, and we didn't have a fire extinguisher. We called the fire department and ran outside, but by the time they arrived the fire had already spread throughout the house. We could only watch.
Fuck Extreme G.
>>377879949
>modern platform games as good as Mischief Makers
such as?
I'd ask about the modern futuristic racing games as well but I'm positive that's a lie so no need.
>>377878590
Underage
>>377878727
>Otogi will never get ported to steam
>JSRF will never get ported to steam
>Gunvalkyrie will never get ported to steam
>no emulator for original xbox exists
>when the original xbox hardware dies out the games die with them
>>377881081
This game was the shit.
>>377878717
Fuck no.
>>377880728
Don't forget Ninja Gaiden Black, Dead or Alive 3 and Ultimate, OutRun 2 (or you could find an arcade machine I guess), Panzer Dragoon Orta, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, MechAssault 1 and 2, Steel Battalion, Metal Wolf Chaos, and the best version of Burnout 3.
Why do almost no original Xbox games get ported?
>>377879947
Vroom in the night sky
>>377880041
did it not occur to anyone to either grab the burning pillows and blankets, or use something like a chair to scoop them up, and throw them outside?
I never did play XG3 or XGRA. How did they compare to the first two?
Anyways, as far as older racing games go, I could use a new Re-Volt that isn't a shitty phone game.
>>377882109
Besides things like erroneous graphical blemishes on the PC/PS2 side and more singleplayer content, what's different about the Xbox version of Outrun 2?
>>377877712
>play XGIII
>first time you break the sound barrier the sound cuts out
>upgraded bikes that can stay at supersonic speeds break the effect
I thought it was so cool at first :/
>>377878717
You do realize Wipeout fans say Fast is F-Zero and F-Zero fans say Fast is Wipeout. Fast is so fucking lifeless that literally nobody want it except for Switch early adopters.
And it would get a crossover with Killer Instinct and my dick would be rock hard the whole time
If only
>>377877712The 7th gen game was way too slow
A 2d platformer about dimensions would be nice. The sequal could be a 3d platformer
>>377882913
Wave Race needs a higher fidelity console.
>>377877712
Omg... I once had this game. It was remotely fun.
I really wish Kinetica would get a revamp.
Just think of the possibilities.
>>377877712
>>377879304
>>377881081
>>377882913
>>377882984
Played all of these they are pretty good, but sad that some millennial will show up to this thread and mention 'lol shit grafix'
>>377882648
I mean specifically OutRun 2, not OutRun 2006. The Xbox has both. No other platform has 2.
Though I guess 2006 does feature most of the content in 2.
>>377883352
Yes I'm talking about that exactly, what are the differences between Outrun 2 and 2006 where you want 2 over 2006

>>377882109
At least we got Voodoo Vince and Phantom Dust, right?
>>377883774
I do quite like Phantom Dust, but it's sad as fuck to see so many great games stuck in original Xbox hell.
>>377883837
Luckily, the Xbox Hueg is cheap and easily hackable.
But yeah, it's shit knowing that these consoles will eventually die out and the games will die along with them unless they get ported. Also, ports offer enhancements like better resolution. Xbox emulation has been making a little bit of progress lately. Not as much as PS3 & Wii U over the past couple of months, but hey, there's a Patreon.

>still listen to the edgy grunge soundtrack unironically

>>377884704
Yeah, I'm looking at getting an original Xbox again. The system and most games seem surprisingly cheap.
>>377880253
>>377877712
I'm 19 and I remember this game fondly.
Shame that I sucked at it though.
Anyone else remember this?
>>377879304
Milk man op
>>377877712
That game was fun. Never played the sequel. XG3 sucked ass, though.

>XG3 sucked ass, though
>>377886234
You basically got 3 or 4 tracks per cup, had to pay for engine upgrades and every weapon that you got except for machine gun, and after you beat all the cups, it went up a level. You basically had to play each track a dozen times, presuming you could win every time (and the game itself was hard as balls).
>>377886234
Oh, and your reward for actually winning? A cheat code that unlocks the only locked team, allowing you to play as androids.
If you want to give it a shot, it's 4 bucks on Amazon for the GC. There are worse ways to wrap your mind around why the game is so bad.
>>377886362
>>377886619
sheeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiit, nigga.
if you guys want fast, this is the game for you
>>377886827
this nigga knows.
>>377885669
I bought mine for like $30 on eBay. The only game I bought was Splinter Cell for about $5, solely for the purpose of hacking the console. Then, I bought a 250GB IDE hard drive to replace the stock hard drive, and filled it with isos. I had pretty much every worthwhile Xbox Hueg exclusive, and a sizeable amount of 6th gen multiplats.
>>377886234
Not him, but 10 tracks, 5 leagues, 4 speed classes. You literally play the same 10 races 20 separate times. There are no combat levels. It's hard as balls, and you have to perform well in order to get money to upgrade your engine or purchase weapons that are worth a shit, and only 1 of the weapons are homing, and they aren't powerful. All weapons share ammo from the same pool, and in order to replenish your pool, you need to opt not to replenish your shield. If your shield hits zero, you die. Boosting drains your shield.
It's a very technical racing game, and had felt out of place in the series.
>>377886827
the dlc is fantastic
>>377886987
Anyone play XGRA? I feel its actually the best in the series. Has good graphic design, two soundtracks, and a decent pool of tracks amd a way better weapon system than xg3. XGRA had it so every weapon pickup you got, you would get the next tier of powerup / weapon. There was a loy right with that game, and theres dev dairies out there on ign i think still from back in the day about their dev cycle and process, worth a read if youre into the extreme g series. AI is also much easier to beat and make sense compared to the pixel perfext AI of xg3.

>>377882913
>>377882984

>>377888927

>>377889071
Nah. Never played it. Gave up on the series after 3.
WHAT'S YOUR NAME?
WHAT WHAT? WHAT WHAT?
>>377889292
Rush 2 was way better.
>>377889178
Not really. Track design isn't on the same level.
>>377889340
how is 2049?
Or anything that allows me to race helicopters and boats again.
>>377889398
>his parents/grandparents didn't get Rush 2
>>377889398
Pretty meh. 2 was the best. Although you have to wonder if the devs ever actually drove a car before making that game. Going back to it now, the physics are apeshit.
>>377877712
Extreme g was the first racing game that I recall enjoying. That feeling of childhood and being so engrossed by Extreme g that I hurried through eating a meal with my parents sitting next to me at the table and then going directly back to playing the game.
Also this>>377889510
I remember playing this game with my brother and dad.
>>377889649
>Extreme g was the first racing game that I recall enjoying.
Same here now that you mention it.

>>377889649
>>377889774
XG and Rush 2 were the only racing games I liked on the N64. DKR and MK64 were just meh, in my opinion (although DKR was pretty ambitious giving you the 3 racing vehicles, to give credit where its due).

>>377890289
And You can't make up Your mind about it ? In 2002 I played the oxm demo for Jet Set Radio Future for a month. I had Dogenzaka Hill memorized by the time I bought the game

Something like this would work great as an indie game. Randomly generated floors, itemdrops and monster eggs. Slap a few cute 2D animu girl sprites ontop of it that are romancable and each have a few sidequests, expand on the city building aspect and maybe make it 3-4 dungeons instead of one and you're golden.
>>377877712
i owned XG2 and it was fucking great
