When was the last time you felt like you went on a adventure in a video game?
Morrowind. BoTW came very close
Breath of the Wild
Exploring for the sake of exploring?
Red Dead Redemption
Fucking Unreal. If you want an adventure play this game.
This game was an epic journey of the ages like no other.
All the way from underground temples to exploring floating islands in the sky just out of the orbit of the planet you were just on and EVERYTHING in between.

replayed it last year for the first time in a decade, and the atmosphere, music, and pace pulled me in as well as I can remember from my first play
Breath of the Wild.
And before that, Xenoblade Chronicles

Breath of The Wild. Sadly even it falls to the open world syndrome after something like 20 hours, but exploring the world is absolutely magical at first.

To each their own, new Vegas is keeping me good. Fallout 4 is kind of boring. I like the base building. survival mods with enemy mods have made the game pretty fun though.

This. I wish I could go on an adventure in real life.
Playing Oblivion in a game cafe will forever be the last moment of wonder I had gaming. Once i had consensual sex everything started falling apart.

Literally dark souls was the last time I felt any sort of way about a game. Before that it was new Vegas. See, now I realise that I just mentioned 2 games here that are going to get me called a normie niggerfaggot (which my phone fucking recognized as a word even though this is the first time I've typed it. I really need to find the original owner and fuck them. It even autocorrected it.), but I am a fucking normie niggerfaggot. I don't like video games so much as there are games that I like. I don't keep up with anything, like ever. I'm so out of the loop that I didn't expect automata to be like playing a fucking anime. Why is this bitch calling me to cry about another android not liking her when I have important shit to do? Anyway, that also doesn't feel like an adventure or really anything at all other than a chore. DaS1 and new Vegas let me explore and forcesd me to search for the more nuanced parts of the story and character storylines. That's what immersed me and allowed me to feel effective in their worlds.
Hollow Knight
felt good man
>>377870720
Witcher 3
BotW didn't work for me, the mechanics were there but the world felt like a amusement park.
Breath of the Wild, FFXIV, weirdly enough
Dark Souls and Dragon's Dogma
I miss not being able to warp from bonfire to bonfire at the very beginning. I remember the first time I got to the bottom of Blighttown and thinking about how I was so far from Firelink that there was no turning back, that I had to press forward even though Quelaag kept beating my ass for the next hour.

Meeting new friends. Exploring new places. Doing quests. Fighting bosses. Riding the ship. Hanging out in cities.
Breath of the wild baby
And before that TW3
Morrowind probably still takes it overall though
>>377870720
I finished Grandia for the first time recently.
I wish more games could capture the spirit of adventure so well.
Tales of Berseria
Really, the only reason I still play Tales is because it does a good job (debatable game by game, but for the most part) making me feel like I'm going on an adventure.
Sonic Unleashed
Really felt like I saw the whole world and saved it all in just 10 hours. Marvelous presentation this game has.
>>377870720
BotW. Before that it was XCX. Can't wait to see what world Monolith crafts next.
UnderRail
>>377873016
You cant fast travel in morrowind
>>377881002
Morrowind had the best system and I have no idea why it was scrapped and no one goes back to it. Fast travel between cities and two "mark-recall" points that you can choose yourself. You don't really need anymore than that.
