Hell, I'll give you a better example. I never had a PS3. I do have a PS4. I got to play GoW3, the Uncharted games, TLOU and Gravity Rush because they were ported.

I just went to look up the trade in prices for each of those games on Amazon, and everything but Star Fox, Pikmin, and W101 can be traded in for about $19. It's not that bad considering these will probably have extra features and they're portable.

Getting mad over ports because you're losing exclusives is pretty autistic, but getting mad about ports because you're not getting enough new games to justify the purchase of a new console is pretty reasonable. Look at PS4 and Xbone, they're port machines. They both have one or two decent exclusives and pretty much nothing else.
