It does have flaws, like inexplicably dropping estus as a system, fewer and less interactive NPCs, and a dead on arrival pvp system, but on balance I'd consider it the best souls game, and it actually represented a step forward in design unlike DS3.

The biggest flaw of Bloodborne is the weak graphics and 30fps compared to what could have been if it was on the PC, still it is a great game.

You have to play it to understand. I didn't pay for PSN, so I am purely commenting from single-player pespective. I've heard that the PvP in Bloodborne is bad, can't comment.

As soon as I realised that you can just literally run past every enemy, I started to question what was even the point in the standing there to fight them.

It's like being either given £1000 or choosing to do hard manual labour for the same £1000. At any time I was killing enemies I questioned what the point was.

If it was fun then I'd be motivated to do so, but given fights just boiled down to hammering R1 as quickly as possible because you regained health when you attack, I had zero interest in wasting my time.

Not for me, I enjoyed DaS3 a lot, while BB is my favourite. BB and DaS3 are my favourites in the series. DaS, DaS2, DeS are still really enjoyable, but the enemy AI and bosses are just way to easy compared to BB and DaS3.

I think it's fair to say that the combat is improved though I think that parrying was buffed too much and brings the quality of the game somewhat down

Honestly, the soundtrack of BloodBorne felt too samey to me. It was as if almost all of the tracks were trying to hype me up. I tend to prefer Demon's Souls in terms of overall soundtrack.

That kinda depends on what qualities you are looking for in the boss.
