Honey Select is a hell of a lot worse. The sex animations are better but you lose the whole framework that gives it some fantasy. It's why porn with a basic story is better than just a video of people fucking.

The one thing that does piss me off about Skyrim is the nightmare of getting cunt and tit physics rolling if you want custom skins. I ended up taking the lazy route and using the canned installer for it since I wanted flapping lips and jiggling tits but now I'm stuck with supermodel bodies when I want all the women hairy and grimy. There's also the problem that I didn't choose my gameplay mods wisely and the gameplay isn't that great.

The general rule is to experience the game vanilla before modding it. I didn't touch Skyrim until last year after it sat in my Steam for a total of 4 years. I only clocked in 14 hours and I haven't played since last November. It's to say I just don't care.

I came back later and only installed subtle mods like graphics mods and lore-appropriate armour and weapons. Then I installed mods to make combat more deadly. Then the NPC mod, then a mod that makes higher level dragons cause meteor storms, mass hysteria, resurrection, and so on.

When I talk to friends who played the game it sometimes feels like I played a completely different game and I enjoyed it.

So is there a good guide for what mods are recommended? Maybe a collection of sorts? I've never modded Skyrim before and would like to get into it.

I just prefer maya personally. I had nothing but problems using blender, especially when it came to exporting/importing shit, which is what i mainly use it for.
People prefer it cause it's allegedly more user-friendly and easily accessible.

When i first started out, people just pointed towards 3ds and maya, so i just went there. But i mostly do low-poly stuff, so i'd just go with what feels better for you if i were you. Try it, if only to say "i tried it but didn't like it". Most people i know who did 3d used multiple programs.
