I have an IKEA millberget and it's pretty good. Fairly cheap and good quality, it can't fully recline but the back of the chair can lean back quite far if you set it right, and it has quite a good height range for comfortable feet-on-desk gaming.

The only reason I have multiple monitors is because I race on iRacing and need/can't do it without a 1:1 true FOV ratio. Unless you have a giant 4k monitor, that's hard to do without a triple screen setup.

I honestly got kinda bored of P5, I played for about 70 hours and got really bored of going through the palaces and I didn't feel connected to a lot of the characters. I only liked Ryuji and Tae. But will definitely be coming back to it. Been playing Yakuza 0 a little too and that game is literally perfect. I gave up on Nioh and I'm 3 bosses away from finishing it but the level design is so bad and the story doesn't make sense to me. So it's difficult to get invested in it. It's an alright game.

ESO is really good, lot's of good sidequests that are genuinely interesting. It doesn't deserve the hate it gets, I've had a lot of fun with it so far. I love FFXIV so much, the community is really sweet to each other and that's why I mainly play it. I play a cute healer catgirl and bait a bunch of guild mates into thinking I'm actually a girl and they give me a bunch of gold and help with fates without asking. They're retarded desperate. But stick with it, it's a really good MMO. I'm level 50 and still working through all those story quests, definitely will pick it up again and get myself caught up.

I have a Vive but I really dislike it for racing as the resolution is too low. Even with extreme super sampling stuff in the distance is just too pixely. I really love triple monitors. In the future as headsets advance, I'll switch over, but for now triple monitors can not be beat, in my opinion. The Vive is good for roomscale stuff and that's about it.

And the only reason I'm currently using a G29 is because I don't have a racing setup, so these monitors are also the ones I use(well the middle one is) for everyday browsing and mouse+keyboard gaming.

Once I get a racing mount I'll purchase a direct drive wheel, and use that. Money isn't an issue for me, space is. For now the G29 works great as something that can pop on and off the desk in 10 seconds.

The G29 is about as cheap is it gets for a okay-tier wheel. I enjoy it and it's been working fine, but as a hardcore sim guy I'm going to abandon it for some stupid $2000 wheel and pedals soon.

For about the same price as a G29 you can get a Thrustmaster T300RS, and it's a far superior wheel. Unfortunately for me, I got into racing casually through my G29, had I known then what I know now, I'd have got the T300.

The wheel does work fine, and I firmly believe hardware will never be the difference between victory and a loss. If you can win races, you can win races on any wheel. It's just more from an immersion/fun standpoint that you'd want a better setup.

More fake news, VR offers totally new experience. The problem with it is people want to put on an HMD and then sit down and keep playing the same stuff they were playing before. Then they get sick and complain about it.

You're missing the point if you want to hook it up on Witcher 3 or anything like that.

It's a new archetype and supports totally different games.

Now instead of pressing R to reload, I grab a magazine and operate the rifle. No, I'll never be able to compete if I play against people that can just press a button, so it doesn't cross display types well, but after spending time with some FPS games on this, I don't want to go back to basic button pressing games. It feels like a major step down, like going back to 2D GTA after playing newer ones.

For anyone saying "3D is a gimmick" go gouge an eye out and try to spar someone or play a sport. Games haven't been designed around NEEDING stereoscopic depth perception but that sense is most certainly not a gimmick or you wouldn't have evolved it. As more games come out, we see them making much better use of this, and game companies are learning how to minimize simulator sickness, so it's all getting better.

Lightblade VR, Space Pirate, Raw Data, Robo Recall, these have all made pretty good use of the new depth cues and I've enjoyed them. I think there is a lot of potential here, especially for fighting games. Sooner or later we are going to have an actually good sword dueling game and it won't work well on anything else but VR.

It's not really what many of us wanted or expected, but it's good, give it some time. Once this has a few masterpiece titles behind it everyone is going to have a headset. Prices will go down too as newer models come out.
