Absolutely
>>377844205

>game has twitch integration
what the royal FUCK is the basis of your fucking argument

>>377844605
it really is summer isn't it?
Can you repeat the question?
>>377844205
league did
>new AAA shit title comes out
>thousands of people watch it instead of buying it
pc gaming sure.
sort of butit was gameplay commentaries before twitch
>>377844914
>wasting my money for some shit AAA game
>when I can waste 2 hours watching it from someone on twitch
>move on with my life after finding out AAA game is shit
it's like you want to be retarded
>>377844205
name at least 11 twitches that do this
Absolutely fine: Watching events / tournaments.
Absolutely not fine, literally what are you doing: Watching and wanting to become twitch 'personalities'.
>when you see someone posting about some game you hadn't heard of so you check it out and see that it's just some streambait garbage made by an indie dev
>>377844914
You might as well say youtube is ruining gaming because you can just watch an LP there.
>>377845397
>wanting to become twitch 'personalities'.
>wanting to exploit virgins and kids for money
>doing basically nothing and getting paid
>a bad thing
>>377845509
>youtube is ruining gaming
you can't get paid from YT anymore, that's part of the reason why OP asked for Twitch
No, the blame lies with the streamers and their mouth breathing fans.
>>377844205
i think it has overall had a negative impact on how games are perceived at launch. many young people get their criticism from streams and streamers, and the fact is that what makes a game good for a streamer is not what makes a game good for someone playing it themselves. i don't think this has a massive impact at the moment except on the indie scene, but is certainly something to watch.
>>377844205
sort of. esports has ruined gaming, and esports thrives because of services like twitch. esports was best left a niche.
>watch review of new game
>can be edited and have bugs removed
>watch twitch stream of new game
>raw gameplay footage that cannot be edited, warts and all
Which is better for the consumer, OP?
>>377844205
Who was that faggot who's girlfriend left for an another Streamer?
>>377847098
you just described like every gamer streamer
>>377847647
It was a pretty big drama tho.
The streamer was a lonely neckbeard I actually felt sorry for him. Messages got leaked, whole Twitter conservation etc.
>>377844914
>new AAA shit title comes out
>thousands of people read reviews instead of buying it
>>377847825
there is so much twitch drama, and just such a constant barrage of it, that it's hard to make any of it stand out aside from that speedrunner that got cucked all the way off the internet for like 3 years
>retard screaming over a good game
>WHAT THE FUCK DUDE I CANT EVEN HAHA WOW DUDE
>>377844205
no, it's a reality show e-begging scene, it's like asking if big brother the tv show ruined the book.
The ones ruining the video industry are the consumers themselves.
OUTTA MY WAY, YOU TWITCH FUCKING SHITS
>>377848353
would probably unironically suck his dick if he asked me to
Games were ruined before twitch was even a thing
>people actually pay for marketing
Can't make this shit up
Posted this in a completely different thread.
I think that signals I should get off the computer for a bit.
E-sports ruined it in general.
Just like sports ruined... sports. By that I mean the sports industries at large rather than each discrete activity.
Football (fuck you soccercunts), perfectly fine to play, fun even. The Football industry and watching it? Fucking awful and boring.
Athletics, gymnastics, swimming, etc. All fun. The Olympics? Scummy as fuck.
And so on.
ANY time you add money to an activity, it tends to get dissolved of all fun. It tends to get replaced by rage and "top-tier bants". (retards being retarded, which is obviously going to make them happy)
Simply eric.
The exception is friendly low-money gambling, which is highly illegal in some places for some reason.
Shit like a minor or singular major unit of currency in to a pot, game, winner takes all. (so 50 cents / pence, $/£€1 etc.)

ice is the antithesis of reddit.
>>377845143
Why do you even bother if you dont even play it. A waste of time is a waste of time you are just as retarded.
>>377844205
Has muy cock ruines tour asshole
>See cool looking game
>look it up
>it's a roguelike with "darksouls like combat"
That's what is ruining games.
Do you guys remember online gaming before twitch/youtube? Remember playing games without random teens spotuing memes all the time and parroting their epic favorite streamer? Remember when gaming communities actually developped their own organic cultures without some asshats ruining everything? I do
It was a shitshow, but it was better than things today this much I know
>people pay other people to watch them play videogames
>>377852925
I never played multiplayer games with randoms so not really.
>>377852925
to be honest it was as cancerous as it is today, the only difference between now and then is that we're not with it anymore
>>377852925
Shit like that is still around though. Start hanging with adults instead of children.
>>377852925
I remember watching Sodapoppin on xfire, those were the days.
Twitch has not ruined gaming, millennials have ruined gaming with their need of easy brain dead content and instant gratification retard brain.
If anything Twitch has forced companies to make actual games (see PUBG as an example) since there are big streamers with tens of thousands of people watching and judging a game.
waiting for MANvsGAME's aneurysm is mildly entertaining
hopefully girlsdoporn contact legendarylea soon
dsp's e-begging is also just going through the motions en route to complete (moral and financial) bankruptcy
other than that twitch is highly boring
>>377852925
>Remember playing games without random teens spotuing memes all the time and parroting their epic favorite streamer?
You're just nostalgic for a time that was just as shit but you enjoyed yourself during it.
It's called Growing Up anon
