I never understood waifuism until I played HZD. But I fell in love with Aloy. So there are at least three dudes who hit on Aloy throughout the story.

Varl
Avad

Elend introduces himself by hitting on Aloy which kind of dooms him to the friendzone. Later on he admits that he had felt like a bigshot who found a pretty girl to impress in the boonies but he was lucky she would spare a minute of her time on him. She teases that in the future she could spare another minute or two.

Avad is shaken by the death of Ersa and looks towards Aloy for support. Alloy has three options to turn him down because he's clearly grieving. Throughout the remainder of the game he becomes more impressed by Aloy and genuine feelings start to blossom. He is really into strong women.

Varl is brave and has a deep admiration for Aloy. He, like the rest of his tribe, believes that Aloy is Jesus. He doesn't have as much screen time or importance as the other two but every scene with him and Aloy is charged with sexual tension. Whatever feelings he has are reciprocated by Aloy and she even admits that she likes him to Rosts grave. Varl is black.

Well in Persona 5's case it's literally an up-scaled PS3 game that's been in development for over 8 years cause Japanese devs are astonishingly bad at getting anything done within a reasonable time from going back to the mid 2000's. Nier: Automata is a budget game that caught the right memes and mentalities at just the right time to become a sleeper hit and Gravity Rush 2 is first party Sony and IMO looks pretty damn nice overall but you can tell it wasn't given a Triple A budget or anything like that. Still because of the way the characters look and admittedly they all do have fetching designs in them (Kat and Raven are frankly underrated) none of that shit really matters to those people.

I don't hold it against them particularly much, but then again Japan hasn't really given me much reason to have high standards for their graphics engines in anything besides maybe FF console games. That's really the only thing that comes to mind in the last decade that makes me thinking even remotely testing the power of modern console hardware.

One of the things I don't understand with Japanese games lately though is why the writing, storytelling and characterization has to be so goddamn bad a lot of the time. I really truly think they need to start having some quality writers from overseas coming in and inputting some ideas or working in teams to help Japan with their script writing and dialogue cause it's just atrociously bad and in need of editing, polishing or fleshing out these days on average. Whoever the people they have doing scripts nowadays, it doesn't seem to matter what company it is but they're usually not even remotely cutting it. For example if people really think that Taro Yoko is the best scenario writer Japan has going for it right now than holy fuck....just holy fuck are they in a lot of trouble.
