Postmodern is a big one. When a developer describes their game as postmodern you know with certainty that it is going to have the most blunt, idiotic "meta" bullshit that they think is incredibly clever but just comes off as obnoxious.

There's nothing wrong with postmodernism in games, but when the developer self-describes it like that you know it's going to be a bunch of pretentious bullshit.
