KoF and Xrd are both the same shit. GG is just heavily stylized. SF4 and 5 too. They're all 3D models on a 2D plain. I'm not sure what you even mean by your statement since they're all the same. GG flat out shows you how 3D it is when a round ends in it.

That's the actual definition that has been determined by common usage when it comes to games anon. 2.5D is meant to encapsulate the distinction between graphical resources that are made in 3D, which used to be more fundamentally tied to the opening of game movement into 3D, and a 2 dimensional gameplay perspective that is more traditionally tied to when those were the primary gaming perspective along with 2D graphics.

Xrd looks good because they actually put in tremendous effort. They married 3D modeling and 2D animation and ended up with the strengths and difficulty of both. It's not really any easier to do than 2D animation, which is part of the point of using 3D animation.
