I wish the game could be more comfy to play.

I feel like everybody glances over this or just don't care, but hovering your mouse cursor over the little tiny dirt blocks to dig gets tiring and in general I don't like playing 2D sidescroller games with a keyboard. At the same time, if you use a controller, aiming the cursor with the analog stick is hell.

Much of this could be alleviated with a Zoom feature, but I don't think that has ever been implemented.

Its all the bad parts of minecraft made decent. But it sacrificed the good parts of minecraft so its still pretty mediocre.

It's got a good amount of content for a game that regularly goes on sale for $2.50. The start can be a bit grindy but the overall gameplay is fun. Even if you're an uncreative piece of shit like me and can't build cool structures the combat and exploration and item hoarding make it worthwhile.

My only real complaint is the way the implemented logic gates and the concept of 'on' and 'off' in this game is fucking stupid, so no autistic creations like in minecraft redstone.

I haven't played since 2012, but I put 125 hours into the game and had a ton of fun.

Apparently they have added A TON since then, and I still haven't touched it yet. But without even looking at that content I would still recommend the game.

Fuck you. A noticeable part of why Terraria is excellent because of the precise KB+M controls and the appropriate difficulty. I tried it on 360 for about 5 minutes until I killed myself. Nowadays I'm actually an undead skeleton, and it's all because of that slow and bubblewrapped port.

Excellent game. Follows what I call the "classical theory" of game progression, where there's literally no story and nothing makes any fucking sense at all. If you didn't have a wiki, 99% of people wouldn't have any idea how to progress in the game. And yet upon analysis the game's progression is incredibly detailed in how it leads you. If you actually look at Terraria and think about the order you're supposed to do things, the game basically tells you where to go just through the gameplay itself.

That said it suffers from having nothing to FUCKING DO after you beat the final boss and get all this sweet gear. Like, seriously, what the fuck?
