You know, i really miss the atmosphere of 2049's racing. Practically always night racing. So much more dark and dangerous, especially with the music from Cold Storage, rather than random dnb artists.

Anyone else get me? Like they prefer the dark dangerous death racing at 300mph rather than flying F1?

The PS2 version of Pulse is botched despite having more detailed ship textures and built in DLC. The 4:3 mode is just a squished HUD, has no progressive scan (enjoy interlacing or deinterlacing delay), and runs in PAL 25 whereas PSP version was 60 fps. I hope you knew this.

I feel that way about realistic/sim type games, but I feel like decent arcade racers are so fucking far between right now its hard not for me to get hype about more Wipeout. Like, shit... Back in the day, with Rollcage, Burnout, Wipeout, Trackmania, Crash Team Racing (/kart racers in general) etc., arcade racers used to be one of my most played genres, but since I haven't owned a Nintendo console in forever (and thus not played the various MK sequels) the only racer I've played in YEARS is the most recent Trackmania. The only other one I tried the first Forza Horizon but it wasn't really the same to me.

I love Wipeout but calling the PS4 version "new" is generous. Also I'm pretty sure that PS4 doesn't support custom soundtrack, so that's a major downgrade to me over Wipeout HD.

You need more than double the power if you try to brute force 30 fps games to run at 60 fps. Believe me I tried it with NFS Hot Pursuit 2. There's absolutely nothing superior about the PS2 version of Pulse other than some ship textures where it still looks like a PSP game anyway.

I bought the HD version on PS3/PSN but I couldn't finish in first place
