But it's entirely true. In league, Bottom lane is basically a PvE game and Top is an Island outside of teleport because the game has so many escape mechanics and items scale upwards in power.

As a veteran of the genre that spent over a decade playing DotA1 and DOTA2, I have moved onto playing HotS.
Perhaps I got bored of farming but I like the simplicity and emphasis on teamwork and combat in this game.
It feels more like Super Smash Bros in a sense that it really takes the "hero brawler" aspect to heart.
Overall I can see why others like myself would prefer to continue to farm in the past but HotS does fill a niche of it's own where you can just sit down and enjoy a good 15min of brawling action with friends.

I will argue that Monstrosity is not good enough to be picked over Ultimate Evolution.
The problem with Monstrosity is that it requires a constant babbysitting for it to be effective as it has to feed on 40 minions before it won't be shit.
Whereas Ultimate Evolution allows for a powerful tool in teamfights every 40 second.

HotS is good fun if you don't want to try hard and think. It's just a permanent team brawler with heroes that move slow as shit, have inflated HP and deal the damage of a wet noodle 95% of the time.

It will never get easy if you don't know what every hero does, but I think Ragnaros right now has pretty good utility in all maps.

The only problem for a new player is that he's a meele hero but his health is high, you just need to understand to not engage if you're being focused by ranged things. You need to wait to stop being focused to engage ranged heroes, or just hit the meele ones for the time being.

As someone who spent about 1300 hours playing Dota 2 back then and had actually played with/against professional players - I enjoy HotS.

2k MMR degenerates who think they are "smart" because they play Dota which is "hard" are, unsurprisingly, degenerates.

Comparing Dota, LoL and HotS:

Dota is the one with the highest tactical and input complexity. It rewards the player for doing unintuitive shit and micromanagement.

LoL is less tactically intensive and complex, but it makes an accent on both strategy and immediate action. The player is allowed to make long-term bets and make tweaks according to the composition. At the same time, LoL is faster paced and its reliance on skillshots, short CCs and cooldowns reward a player with better reaction speed and aim.

HotS takes what League started a step further. Skillshots are everywhere, every leveling decision you make can be a strategic one (ideally - most of the talent balancing is shit), controls can't be any simpler. Main selling point is proper decision making - realizing when laning, rotating, and objectives should be prioritized over each other - this is what makes it different from shitty shit like Bloodline Champions.

I think Cassia is outrageously good. Charged strikes is far and away the best AA steroid in the game because every split attack counts as a regular auto-attack. It spreads titan killer, reduces the cooldown on your blind, and get the extra range and piercing at level 20. I thought Tyrande's talent would be the same way but it's absolute garbage because it only spreads the initial 90 damage and doesn't let her build stacks for the free stun or her vulnerable talent.

If you pick her into a lot of auto-attack damage she's basically god walking the earth and if the other team has blinds or more wizards it's not like her fend or spear focus builds are bad either. Plus she's excellent at sieging forts because the spear by default spreads out to hit the gate, both towers, and both walls while charged strikes prevents the other team from defending unless they want to eat a bunch of damage.

HotS is my first MOBA and I know next to nothing on the other two games.
However I'm at 3.3k MMR in HotS and the difference in skill gap/knowledge between players is insane. Whenever I play QM and see people with 2.5k MMR I just know I'll have to babysit because they can't make good decisions to win the game.
What triggers me the most is all the small decision when in a teamfight and all the small mistakes that adds up by players. I don't really know how it far in other games but i've seen that since it's much easier to kill people in theirs ( I think you can blow up people in dota in 0,5s? ) people really underestimate their fighting ability in HotS and it leads to teamfight being almost literal dicerolls unless everyone is at high MMR.
I mean I'm no complaining much since I still maintain 60% WR on my most played heroes but some people are literally riding the forced 50wr meme.

-Omniknight is a support
-Sven is a damage dealer
-Tiny is a tank

Now lets look at HotS
-Sylvanas can either be a lane pusher or excel at taking merc camps
-Varian can be an assassin or a tank
-Uther can excel at being a support or he can excel at dealing damage

Many heroes in HotS can change how they're going to be played to suit the situation better, as where in Dota/LoL every hero is static and the only thing that can change is what universal items you buy.

As long as you have a body in lane you get full exp for the minions that die. Vikings can get exp from all 3 lanes letting your whole team gank. Xul can clear minions so quickly that he can farm 2 lanes at once while your team ganks.
But minions and spells are weird in that they only give exp if you land the killing blow. Mercenaries don't grant any exp for the minions they kill or for being killed by the enemy team. They're good to push during objectives but if you use them all the time you're losing exp.

From my limited experience, Butcher, Nova, pretty much any assassin with stealth.

Tychus and Valla are the king and queen. But if you really want to steamroll you want to pick up new Alarak.

Have nothing to do with the actual champions difficulty and there's talents for some of them.

HotS have more objectives and they're more important than in LoL as they can push down a base if you don't go and stop them. Also has nothing to do with champion difficulty.

About the same in HotS and LoL, I think they're longer in DOTA.

Much harder in HotS also healers are very strong.

The only thing Nunu/Garen has more APM in is actually moving around the character. As for using abilities Abathur does way more actions simply because his cooldowns are shorter and always has a reason to use.

The matchmaking is garbage. I got steamrolled all weekend, despite all the noobs doing the free skin/lootbox thing.
