How exactly does a 300$ keyboard grant you more skill?
>>377774987
It doesn't. People just want to justify wasting a ton of money.
clickity-clackity my nigga
>>377774987
sunken cost fallacy?
All the pros use them on csgo tournaments so it must be amazing.
>>377774987
that keyboard isn't 300 bucks
mine is though and it isn't a gaymen rgb memeit's a topre meme
>>377774987
macro keys LITERALLY allow you to cheat
>$300
Maybe if you're some retard who fell for the Das meme.
Anyway, you don't buy mech for "muh skills", you buy it because it feels better to type with. If you're on your PC for a long period every day (and we pretty much all are), it's worth investing in a keyboard that feels good to use.
The summary of the product explains that the buttons have the fastest reaction time possible. As if other keyboards take 10 seconds to send a signal to your motherboard.
Actually chuckled.
>>377774987
It doesn't
It's just vanity and aesthetics
Mech vs membrane is more of an issue of comfort and reducing RSIs than anything, and for the miniscule advantages mech can give you in only a few select genres, a barebones $80 mech will perform just as well as a shiny rainbow $200 one
Really the only factor that matters for games is n-key rollover, and then mech switches if you find them more comfortable or if you play anything that requires fast precise taps (shmups) or lots of rapid double taps (RTS) if you find it to be beneficial to you for those thingsI have a fancy RGB Corsair just because I really like pretty colors and lights and it's worth the extra cost to me
>higher stamina and speed in rhythm games
>better feedback
easy
Is it ever justified to spend more than $50 on a keyboard?
Sure if you're an autist like me you like mechanical switches and rgb lights, but you can perform as well as with any given membrane keyboard.
>>377774987
They don't.
Mechanical keyboards are an investment for a better keyfeel and nothing more. If you are fine with awful rubber underneath your fingers, you don't need to spend more than 5 dollars and just get something at a goodwill.

>Topre at work, Model M at home
Living the good life
It doesn't, I like the clack and clicks. I buy myself nice things sometimes because I'm not poor.
>>377774987
it doesn't grant anything except -$300 from chequing account
>>377774987
t.poorfag trying to make himself feel better he can only afford garbage
Less travel time per key literally doubles your APM in any game you play.
Been trying to justify buying a mech keyboard since I spend something like 16 hours a day on a computer, but I finally got one at work and honestly don't notice much of a difference. The leds are nice I guess.
>>377774987
It doesn't, it's just more comfortable andfunto use one.
My cherry silents are great for gaming and super quiet for typing.
>>377777919
What's a model M?
>>377778681
>What's google?
>>377778681
The keyboard that came with the IBM PC. There was a shit ton of them made and they are built like tanks so they have lasted much longer than other keyboards and were pretty easy to find up until mech keyboard market exploded. One of the better keyboards ever made imo. The predecessor to it, the Model F, is supposed to be superior but it's much harder to find and most of them have a bad layout.
>>377778923
The only thing I could find was 1980's IBM keyboards. Unless that's exactly what you use?
>>377777563
except for many companies, even the well branded ones, have stopped selling well-built, sub $15, cheap keyboards - you can't even press Space key that well on most of those, since the key wobbles and shit, so they have taken care of justifying an unsatisfied customer finally wasting some serious money on kb.
>>377775132
I don't think so.
>>377778957
is that why gaming PC's come with old ass keyboard inputs?
it doesn't but it's probably better for you hands.
I've been using some $5 chink keyboard for 4 years, surprisingly never broke, but I've got some bad finger issues.
>>377774987
mechanical input
macros
no ghosting
more responsive
easier to tap
it doesn't grant you more skill but it doesn't hold you back either.
>>377777563
Meh. It's easier to clean and the RGB lighting is nice if I want to turn off all other lights in my room.
>>377775091
But can it input more than 3 buttons at once?
thoughts on this? ready to order this. i went to fry's and i tried out the very few keyboards on display and i liked brown switches the best

i honestly can't go wrong, right?
>>377774987
you will be better. believe me. all the cool people and e-celebs are doing it too!
>>377782740
Get a Magicforce 68 instead, the no rgb ones are like 39.99 I think and the build quality is superb for what it is
