Someone fill me in on why the games past Black Ops II are considered bad from a campaign front (That's the only reason I bother, though Spec Ops was a nice addition). I only just recently played MW3 and felt it was underwhelming even compared to the previous games. I mean, MW2 wasn't all that great on the campaign front but it still felt more fun and you didn't have the absolute boring villain that is Makarov or Soap's death which felt underwhelming, same with the Spec Ops stuff. I can't imagine going into branched story paths and neat future guns to be that disappointing. They're just like $10 action flicks so it's not like I have high expectations.

Branched story paths made the stories less enjoyable? Future guns are boring? I find it really hard to believe since even Killzone can get future guns right and the footage I've seen looks much faster than the other games on top of having neater gimmick items.
