Why are the Resident Evil characters so memorable, /v/?

Unique designs + silly voice acting(intentional or no) really helped
They all have generic as fuck personalities that is getting worse with each new game

We were young enough when they were new that having paper personalities was fine, and the B-movie dialogue somehow made it age better. Their designs were always solid though and Leon's goofy ass in particular was able to shine in a very good game.

I'm playing CPY version of RE7 and I was wondering if the stuttering and frame drops are a thing of the pirated version or if they are also present in the legit copy.

I'm trying this game to see if it's worth buying but so far this game is crazy when it comes to disk and ram usage.
