I'm going to go ahead and suggest Shadowverse as a free game.
It's light like Hearthstone, so it fits the modern age (you don't have to be autist about card games to understand it) but doesn't have the bullshit that hearthstone pulls.
Also, it's extremely free. There's really no point in ever spending money on the game (even the devs said they more or less are just wanting an audience in the west)
