Phone games are simply more convenient than handheld games. I get about 20-30 minutes on my lunch break to fuck around on a game, and I can't get shit done on my 3DS or PSP. Or, I can load up Metal Slug Attack or Fire Emblem Heroes and get a handfull of missions cleared.

They aren't fantastic, but they fit into my schedule wonderfully and I dont have to carry any extra shit on me.

Basically, your damage isn't really based on the characters you have (their stats contribute to like 15% of the total damage at most) but on the weapons you have and said weapons' skills, be it chance to crit, double attack, triple attack, damage cap increase, plain HP or damage increase for an element (there's 6 elements and for end game you'll need a good pool of weapons for each of them).

There's 10 weapons slots for each pool and to consider a slot complete, you'll need 4 copies of the weapon you want to put in that slot, plus like 100 random weapons of lower quality in order to level up its skill level and another good chunk of weapons to increase its level. Those weapons used in those slots need to be grinded for on bosses, with some having less than half a percent chance to drop.
