Simmons, get the Warthog.
Heh, you mean the Puma?

Yeah, keep joking. That'll win the war.I honestly think I could quote RvB seasons 1-5 pretty much verbatim, loved that shit at school.
>>377756596
I will never understand why people love RvB.
70% of the jokes consisted of
>character states/implies thing won't happen
>thing happens
Seriously, go fucking watch it again. It's fucking insane how many times they do that shit.

It spawned comfy Machinima videos.
More of a nostalgia thing if anything.
You don't get plot based 10 minute game videos these days, just heavily edited let's plays.
HELO MY NAME IS MASTER CHIEF LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
That's right private, wars over. We won. We're gonna have a parade in your honor. I get to drive the float! And Simmons hereIS IN CHARGE OF CONFETTI
I think it would be ironic if instead of bullets, our guns shot a healing salve
>>377758417
It's old school shit and at the time, it was pretty fucking barren.
During that time the writers strike was in full force and tv shit was reality tv shows (though we got Survivor or Lost out of it, not sure it was great.)
If you lived in early 2000, it was shit
I felt that reconstruction was a perfect end to the series. Monty Oum may have been talented or whatever (I honestly don't know), but having him do rvb cheapened it a bit. I feel bad because the guy is dead but I felt after reconstruction the show took a big hit.
>>377758417
Idk admittedly it's been a while but I felt like they built up inside jokes that they continued to use throughout the series. Like the team-killing fucktard, Gary and Andy, the alien, Vic, etc. I don't remember the humor being that level of amateur, at least.
>>377758131
Me too honestly. Watched that shit so much, I at one point I actually memorized the sarge line where they're shooting at grif and sarge goes "no! We go in line. It goes you then me then Simmons, then back down to me, then me again, then you then me..."
>>377758978
Arby n the Chief is god-tier machinima
>>377760853
Yeah but he fucked up later on when he tried to add drama to that and the other series he did
>>377761001
Classic case of a writer wanting to evolve past what he is known for but not being good enough to do it.
Sure the series might be a disgusting shell of its former glory, but the first few seasons are still so funny.
>is it nostalgia
Probably but I still like it.
RWBY is betterShame about that garbage fucking game though
>>377763609
>RWBY
>Better than RvB
>>377763786
You heard me.
Its a shame that no one really bothers to do shit like this anymore.
Even with source film maker its all like shit taken from lets plays.
>>377758417
Stop being such a stick in the mud. It was incredibly stupid, and we liked it for that.
>>377759939
You fucked it up, you forgot that grif turns out to be the big hero. Have you even rewatched the entire series recently?
>>377760015Like aloe vera?
Reminder that The Best Laid Plans is the best RvB episode ever

Back then the internet wasn't a cesspool of post-post-ironic memery and people wasn't so jagged as it is now.
season with an actual continuation of the main plot and not just side stories WHEN
>>377761001
>>377762531
Yeah right. The later seasons of arby n chief slaughter the earlier ones. They're hilarious and 10 times more interesting.
>>377764707
Never. Enjoy your side stories and guest writer episodes while they focus all their resources on making anime.
>>377763609
Maybe it got better later, but RWBY S1 was complete garbage.
>>377765598
That was because they didn't take it seriously at that time. It was just "Okay, Monty. You can make your anime when you're done doing what we hired you for." Burnie probably thought it was gonna run for 1-2 volumes then get canned like everything else they make.
