Come on anon.

You should know the answer

Hmmm
>>377753841
they're fuckng retarded and incompetent.
1070-1080-1080ti are already eating the high-end and enthusiast market share, vega is pribably shit and thats why they keep delaying.
They're barely a competitor if the 480 has a lower adoption rate than a more expensive 1080.

You guys are brainwashed fanboys, you're the reason why graphics cards cost way more than they should.
>amd reference card
If you need both a graphics card and a white noise generator.

It's almost literally a die shrink of the Fury X, so probably not.

So wait, the 290 got weaker when it got rebranded into the 390? Really activates those almonds.

You know, AMD was getting dogged in the CPU market for a long ass time too, but then Ryzen came out and raped the shit out of Intel.
Who's to say that they won't have a comeback in the GPU market too?
>>377754592
>Can't even make a card that competes above Nvidia's mid-range card.
>>377754917
They simply don't have the money, Ryzen was a massive investment, one they can't make twice.
>>377754917
>but then Ryzen came out and raped the shit out of Intel.
No it didn't Ryzen only beats Intel in synthetic benchmarks that actually use all cores. Intel still wins in gaming and Intel still has higher IPC's on each core.
>>377755017
>Intel still wins in gaming
Oh boy. It's thissu shittu again
>>377755017
Gaming benchmarks are utterly pointless for CPU's. Once you reach a certain threshold your GPU bottlenecks your gaming performance, but I of course am assuming that you're one of the very, very stupid people who looks at the 1024x768 game comparison benchmarks and sees that a single core Intel processor gets 350 frames in HL2 instead of 340
>>377755017
Oh yeah anon, good job buying intel. Those 2-5 extra frames are worth giving up extra cores, threads, and the ability to SMT
>>377753841
What is the R cube for? Is it so i can Reroll my graphics card into something better?
>>377755017
>Intel still has higher IPC's on each core
They actually don't, they're totally dependent on higher clock speeds to maintain the speed crown. That's why the latest i7 k series parts come with the disclaimer that you can't actually overclock them.
The upcoming single CCX quad core chips should really wreck Intel's shit especially when it comes to IGP stuff.

MOAR COARS XD

Interesting, so a RX 470 on the open source drivers for AMD hardware on GNU/Linux got 122fps in the latest Metro Last Light benchmark.
I know its not a fair comparison at all since none of the hardware is controlled for and who knows what was done to get the numbers in game, but its interesting to see the AMD official driver performing about on par with where it should be, with the unofficial driver outperforming both the 390X and the 980.
>>377753841
I for one really like the design and colour, hopefully the cards built for gaming will look as good.
