It's actually more interesting to observe him from the side at first, then learn how much about machines he was learning over the course of a game despite remaining silent.

And while 2B is a decoy protagonist, she still deserves the time she got as all those little moments when she just couldn't maintain her kuudere behaviour to 9S are absolutely sweet.

I really regret not playing the first Nier before Automata. A lot of the logs tend to not make as much sense as they could have. Then you got Popola and Devola.

A lot of people just don't see why the game is good, and for good reason. For what it is praised for on /v/ is also contradicting to a lot of ideals that people on /v/ usually try to perpetuate.

It is by no means the greatest game ever, far from it. The game itself has done a few things developers don't really care for these days and that is admirable, but to think that there are people who praise the game beyonds it's deserved merits while also ignoring it's flaws comes back like a boomerang. And the negative side is always present for every game discussed here, some more apparent than others.

seeing as how 1/3 of the game is playing as a character whose primary combat ability relies on playing tohou every 4 seconds , i never came to this realization
game would have been amazing if 9S had regular combat abilities and his hack was bound to his pod's special attack
also the open world is really boring, i'm fine with them reusing content but i shouldn't have to be running around the map as much
defensive chips make the game a joke, once you get the auto-item use you can basically never die as long as the enemy doesn't one shot you or kill you in a combo
leveling also is retarded because playing the game on chapter select makes it way too easy, the game should still be challenging when you replay it but you're really overleveled your second time through
i still really liked the game though
