Personally, I think 95% of the dubbing is great in FE Echoes.

It's as if they actually tried to get a good voice director this time around, whereas in Fates, the decent VAs were wasted due to poor voice direction.

I think the game being fully voiced might have helped. In Fates, everybody's just reading a dozen or so lines each with not a whole lot of context to go off of. In Echoes however, they're voicing the whole game so each voice actor has a LOT of time to get into their roles and sound more natural.

Some of the NPCs that do have voiced dialogue are also pretty good too however.

Agreed, I do like all of the changes to the regular formula that his game brings to the table, since it gets you to utilize more of your units instead of just steam rolling with 1 super unit.

one of my favorite additions is how characters will respond to other units casting spells or getting crits, really makes it feel more alive

Celica gets too many Mercs as it is already. I made him an Archer and he's actually doing better than I expected. His retard strength + 5 range is really good at times. Just don't let anything touch him, for all that muscle, he's more frail than a fucking Cleric.
