It doesn't have to be pretty or sexy, (it can be cool or badass, for example), but it needs to invoke some kind of positive emotional reaction from the player.

All things considered, a large part of why Starbound was a colossal fuckup is due to the game being a wide-open sandbox with them promising Peter Molyneux-levels of features that they couldn't deliver on. This is just a strategy game, and a fairly simple one too, and it's not trying to be anything else. It will be extremely hard for them to fuck this up compared to Starbound.

So obviously that means we're going to see brand new and exciting ways in which they're going to fuck this up.
