I hear Homefront: the Revolution has improved drastically since launch.

prey was cracked
im playing it and its pretty decent game
>>377734563
how? most of the flaws are core gameplay mechanics, its just Far cry with an urban skin

Anyone else getting real tired of excessive volumetric lighting effects like this and in the FC games? Real life wilderness doesn't look like that unless it's foggy/misty and even then, it would be much thicker. Doesn't look realistic or nice and it eats up performance like no tomorrow.

>its just Far cry with an urban skin
It's not, though. That's why so many don't like it because it encourages staying hidden and avoiding enemies over direct confrontation. No stealth game or anything, but it doesn't follow the Ubisoft open world formula.
Battlegrounds has some delicious visuals.

Fuck you. Volumetric effects are the best thing.

Not that anon but how is that not like Far Cry? In fact, I'd say that Far Cry encourages stealth even more since it actually gives you bonuses for doing it. Homefront the Rev is a pretty decent game but it's pretty obvious from where it takes its inspiration.

its nowhere near far cry, its a linear FPS that pretends to have any open world gameplay, when it doesn't. it fucking sucks
the only redeeming thing is the game's engine, which is cryengine and it looks really good, but gameplay, story, writing, all fucking suck
>>377734897
no people dont like it because its a bad game, i enjoy stealth games, this fucking sucked

When used in the right contexts. Currently, most games use them way too much and end up making the environments look further from real life does.
>>377735418
Nah, real life just needs more volumetric lighting effects.

Fallout 4

Silly anon, that really tickled my funny bone.
