His Attacks Are Slow. Just Move Out Of The Way When He Attacks And Then Hit Him And You'll Win. It's So Easy. Just Move To The Side. You Won't Even Have To Heal He Is So Easy. He Should Be Called Easy-To-Kill-Because-He-Is-So-Slow-And-You-Can-Just-Move-Out-Of-The-Way-Of-His-Attacks Beast

>>377726665
Atleast he is fun to fighht unlike Loran Memebeast
>>
The only hard part about him is the poison BS. Other than having to stay away from him in that stage just dodge behind him when he lunges at you and hit him, fire paper helps, and some of his attacks like his right hand wide attack have huge tells and are easy to parry.

maybe contribute something new to the discussion and you'd have a point, but every time it's the same shitpost. No one cares how proud you are of beating a game. Ten days is not an impressive amount of time to platinum bloodborne. People don't play Bloodborne because it's hard.

I have played all the dark souls games but havent tried Bloodborne yet

Is it almost exactly the same formula outside of some mechanics or is it more story driven?

Got a PS4 deciding between this or Persona 5 as my first game
>>
>>377735790
It's the same as dark souls but with a new twist on fighting mechanics.
Other than that the story is awesome and one hell of an experience and a must grab. Atleast in top 10 RPGs right now
>>
>>377735280
Works this smoothly even with the axe?
>>
>>377735790
BB is like if you took the fastest weapons from dark souls and built a game around them
If you've played DS3, you've got an ok idea of Bloodborne. DS3 is like Bloodborne lite
>>
>>377735790
Its a similar formula but Bloodborne puts a lot more emphasis on its weapons and their animations when it comes to combat. Due to that, the number of weapons is smaller.
BB doesn't have multiple games either, so the lore feels more whole and well thought out at least for me.

BB is pretty cheap right now but do make sure you get the Old Hunters edition

>>377736040

>>
>>377735790
the presentation of the story is more obtuse than Dark Souls, but it's pretty cool once you figure it out. I wouldn't say it's more story driven though
>>
>>377734730
I'm still very early on, so I'm not judging the game yet, but so far the game has been piss-easy. I could see it being difficult if it was your first ever SoulsBorne game, but so far out of the 4 bosses I've beaten, 3 of them (Cleric Beast, Bloodstarved Beast, and Vicar Amelia) I did just by circle strafing them and occasionally dodging into them to avoid attacks. The only boss I didn't try this on was Gascoigne, and that's because all I had to do was stun him with the pistol over and over.

I'm sure the game gets a lot harder as it progresses, but it seems a bit overhyped to me so far.
>>
>>377736037

I can't fairly compare it to my first playthrough of DaS because it was my first SoulsBorne, and I honestly don't remember much of DaS2, so I can only really compare to my first playthrough of DaS3, and so far it's been slightly easier for me I think.

>o you people not realise you can just run past every enemy without getting touched?

this is actually fairly accurate, most enemies are slow as shit and if you have good memory you can skip past everything and just do bosses, thanks to how areas are laid out you can also skip whole levels like in hemwick, you slide down a cliff and end up behind ayylmaos and then it's straight down to byrgenwerth without any hassle

That's how I managed to do NG+ in about 3 hours. Just literally run through everything, only kill required bosses and that's it. Easy.

I don't know why people struggle so much with the game. Certainly given you're gifted items that can absolutely cheese bosses as well like the music box or the pungent blood cocktails.

The only boss I found remotely difficult was the guy you have to chase for ages because he had an attack which can one shot you at the end however, of course, I realised all you need to do is run at him and spam R1, as per the entire game.
>>
>>377736764
I got blocked, not banned. I got blocked twice but didn't come to a ban - probably because it was deemed I wasn't doing anything worthy of being banned.

Clearly it's perfectly fine to discuss Bloodborne in Bloodborne threads.
>>
>>377736616
I didn't, I did it in 3 hours.

>>377738639
>>
>>377736219
It doesn't. That's what they told me when I first started my Bloodborne experience threads (the original reason behind the 10 days platinum post). It doesn't get harder. If anything it gets easier because you become stronger and your weapons build up - oh btw apparently you're not allowed to level up your character because somehow that is cheating.

I was about level 170 when I finished the game and no enemies gave me any issues whatsoever.

blood starved beast is meant to teach you to dodge past/through enemy attacks, not straight back like a huge pussy. Most bosses after him, including him, have such huge lunges you'll get punished for trying to avoid them by simply keeping distance.
>>
>>377741475
I did this at the very end of the game after having already attained all but 3 of the trophies. I had no issues whatsoever with any of the supposed challenging parts of the game.

you're right, now no one will ever again purchase Bloodborne because someone posted a picture of the platinum trophy on 4chan hundreds of times. Whatever will Bamco's marketing department do?
>>
>>377741921
No the fact remains you cheated to an unknown degree, which makes your accomplishment entirely worthless
>>
>>377742078
The game's 2 years old, I think it's probably had the majority of its sales already.
>>
>>377741752
Nigga I got that platinum trophy in 56 hours, better step your game up
>>
>>377729123
You/he didn't play it blind. You saved your savestate to an usb before fighting Gehrman. I can tell by times here>>377728532
>>
>>377742176
Looks like you won't be able to do anything about it's "legacy" then
you should be proud of your own personal legacy here on /v/, though. proud by /v/ standards, at least.
>>
>>377742163
It's not even cheating but let's pretend that it is.

Irrespective the most I could have done more than this is saved to get the 3rd ending also.

I still platinumed the whole game within 10 days, which includes many other factors outside of getting 3 different endings.
>>
>>377742191
I could have done it quicker, I just fucked about in the chalice dungeons for hours because that was the only fun part.
>>

A legacy comes after sales though. It had a legacy of being some sort of L33T HARDCORE game. In the space of 2 months it now doesn't, on /v/ at least.
>>
>>377742502
I know, I'm not saying what I did was so incredible I'm saying it was simple. That's my entire point, the game is easy.

I'm supposed to believe you played the game withou looking anything up even though you got the second ending 7 minutes after the first one?
Get the hell out you lying piece of shit.
>>
>>377742593
Absolutely zero interest in playing it again.

I traded it in for No Man's Sky the next day after getting platinum.
>>
>>377742668
If you ever thought that /v/ ever thought BB was a hardcore game, you are delusional
>>
>>377742296
If you tampered with the save that means you could have just run a trainer and given yourself 99 in all stats on level 1 or just plain invincibility.
>>
>>377742806
Please just read the thread.

I went in entirely blind, never having played a Souls game before, I got to the very end, checked online on what I needed to do to get the last couple of hidden trophies after realising how close I was to getting the platinum, I then went onto do them.

I did this with the endings to reduce me having to go through the tedium any longer than needed.
>>
>>377742668

no, it's the easiest souls game, the only people claiming that are baddies that want extra recognition for doing easy things the rest of us have no issues with
>>
>>377742909
The vast majority of threads said exactly that. As mentioned that was a motivation for me to play it, even though it didn't really appeal to me.

I like a challenge in games. With Bloodborne I was sorely disappointed.

no, they really did not. There were people in the threads talking about how they couldn't beat a certain boss, but as a whole /v/ pretty much acknowledges that the souls games are punishing but fair, and only scrubs claim them to be hardcore. You fell for the marketing ploy, got mad that the game wasn't up to your personal standard of difficulty, and blamed it on normies on /v/. This does not make you special, it makes you a moron.

Just throw a pungent cocktail on the ground, casually stroll up behind it and kill it whilst it doesn't even attempt to respond to being literally attacked. It is honestly that easy, like the rest of the game.
>>
Vicar Amelia took me nearly all day doesn't help I had to farm vials
>>
>>377746061
>had to farm vials
you are aware there is a dash button, and bb's dash has more iframes than any other evasion move in all souls games, right? you basically have to TRY to get hit with how easy it is to dash through any attack.
>>
>>377746247
Dunno why I found her so hard, the other bosses didn't take as long as Amelia
>>
>>377746464
just dash through (yes through, not around or away from) any attack, and know how many attacks you need to dash through before attacking, and every boss is now trivial and you can beat the game without ever getting hit. always stay locked on, do not use the roll, it has less iframes. BB is incredibly simple when armed with this knowledge.
>>
>>377746464

well, stop being a god damn baby ass bitch nigga and practice naked dodgerolling then. reinforced club's bleed shits on 4kings (or most enemies for that matter, if you make it fire reinforced it's even nastier, but not necessary) you just need to know your timings. being naked gives you a longer distance roll as well, armor just cripples you. know their attack patterns as soon as their model starts moving, so you know when to move in and exactly how many hits you can get off while still having stamina to keep yourself alive. you should never be sipping estus, as that's time you need to be hitting bosses so you don't get overwhelmed.

i miss when /v/ would constantly trash talk each other while helping people to improve their skills. feels like so long ago.
>>
>>377746937
Usually bosses that have the movesets of weapons are easy enough to figure out, Gascoigne does barely anything different from the axe set so its extremely easy. People find Djura pretty tough cos they don't know about the stake driver when it's about the worst weapon in BB.

>>
>>377748024
Okay well to expand on my point then.

Basically your argument is that any comments that don't go along with what you're saying are simply the comments of 'normies' and therefore don't count. I'm only allowed to pay attention to the comments that do agree with you (ie. comments that think the game isn't challenging), so I'm set up for a loss either way.

And in fairness, the fact that you refer to people who find the game as "normies" just plays perfectly into my picture of Bloodborne attracting elitists who think they're hardcore gamers simple for the fact that they play the game. It was for people like you that motivated me to get the platinum and demonstrate how straight forward it is as a game.
>>
>>377748036
point out someone in this thread who said the game itself was hard
not that a single boss is hard, but that the game as a whole is hard
>>
>>377748036
I've made this point before hundreds of times but people just ignore it or just say "that's not true", but it is. You can literally dodge directly into a boss or through an attack and you won't get damaged. The whole game is a joke.

That's ignoring the fact that if you're locked on then it auto aims your attacks for you. Or the fact that there are spectres and notes dotted about fucking everywhere to literally show and tell you what to do every step of the way.
>>
>>377748290
Perhaps, but that's the point I've made many times before. Any difficulty in the game is manufactured difficulty, as a game it's inherently easy.
>>
BSB was easy. Darkbeast Paarl is some obnoxious poop.
>>
>>377748091
the grab is one of the best windows to hit him too because the whiff has a slow recovery time, you just have to wait until he actually starts swinging his hand down towards you, then roll towards him and start swinging
>>
>>377748497
Not who you're replying too, but I'm a casual that couldn't get through Sen's Fortress and didn't play DS2 and 3 and I got the Bloodborne platinum too.
>>
>>377749251
It's easy isn't it? That's my entire point, I'm glad you agree.
>>
>>377748497
wow you really are bad at reading
ok so look. You've claimed to have "destroyed the legacy of Bloodborne as a hard game on /v/." My point is that most /v/ users did not think of the game as a hardcore game in the first place. Finding a single boss or section difficult is NOT the same thing as thinking that this game is hardcore.
But lets pretend for the sake of your argument that Bloodborne was widely considered a hardcore game. Would a single person completing every trophy change that? Absolutely not. An olympic runner who sets a new world record at the 100m dash doesn't talk about how easy it was. just because it's possible for one person to do does not make it that way for everyone. We do not define things based off a single person's experience. You literally said you played Bloodborne because you thought it was supposed to be a challenge. So tell me again how you are different from a "normie" who bought the game because of how hardcore you thought it was?
>>
>>377749398
I enjoy games which have a challenge, if I do something in video games that was actually a challenge I'll take pride in that and make it known. I basically am a hardcore gamer and I'm happy to say so.

My issue lies with people who think they're a hardcore gamers because they play Bloodborne, because Bloodborne is a joke at how easy it is.

I did an Excalibur 2 run on PAL without using any of the glitches, FMV skip, no turbo controller, no double disc speed PS2. That made Bloodborne look it was designed for actual babies in comparison.

there was a time when that was basically every poster on /v/, now the casuals have taken over.

i still hold the belief i am the only person on /v/ who has beaten pic related without using cheats, guides, walkthroughs, or anything else.
>>
>>377750495
You may very well be, I've never even seen that game before.

Casuals didn't happen, millennials did. They're not willing to work or put effort into something so now games are designed with them in mind.

Bloodborne is paticularly irritating though because it's a game that holds you hand to unspeakable levels but under the guise of being some kind of hardcore game - the end result is 1000's of mid-late teenagers screeching GIT GUD NUB LOLLLZ at every opportunity when in fact the game is inherently a complete stroll in the park. That's what irritates me.
>>
>>377726665

Bloodstarved beast was weird for me. During my initial 3 playthroughs I beat this thing without a second thought. Coming back to it after 2 years and its suddenly the hardest boss in the game.

>with no indication that you have been spun

>in a game that expects you to be drawing a map by hand
Wizardry 4 sounds like nothing but torture
>>
>>377750814
wizardry 4 is often heralded as one of the most difficult RPG's in the world. it doesn't require a lot of mechanical skill on the player's part, compared to beating a game like I Wanna Be The Guy, but a lot of persistence, memory, and thinking. I'm honestly not trying to toot my own horn here, but it's rather interesting to see just how hard the developers tried to make a game that would ream the player in the god damn ass as much as possible, which is why they put "expert level scenario" on the box, as a fair warning.

I recommend reading the entirety of https://lparchive.org/Wizardry-IV/Update%2001/ to learn about the game and just what it does to make the average player suffer. It's one of those games where you basically need to draw all your maps on graph paper. There's a lot of very hard games out there, kaizo mario series being another popular one, but nothing is quite as unique as Wizardry 4. I will end by saying I never got the true ending, and I never played the game ever again after getting just one ending, because of how grueling and soul-crushing it was for me, especially as a child, compared to other games I was playing at the time like Wolfenstein 3D and Blake Stone.
>>
>>377739209
> I was about level 170 when I finished the game and no enemies gave me any issues whatsoever.

How?

That would require shitloads of grinding and is completly unesisary. If you just do the main game you end up around 60-70, if you do the DLC you will likely be a bit higher (From recommends starting DLC at 65 iirc) and if you do Chalice Dungeons you'll probably be around 100, which is overpowered for the final boss.

170 is like NG+3 levels
>>
>>377751159
I actually immediately went onto YouTube to look at some game play video and I can imagine it could become very confusing. I liked the music too. Given there's a PS1 release I think I'll try and emulate it when I'm back in the UK.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll post a thread on here when I get going.
>>
>>377728532
you know you can beat that game in 34min 31sec
>>
>>377751456
I did vicar amelia about 30 times and then there are certain chalice dungeons where you can farm to incresible amounts, getting circa 120000 blood echoes in about 5-10 minutes.
>>
>>377751619
I can't confirm this but I am willing to bet the PS1 version is less difficult, to garner more sales. If you really want to play the true Wizardry 4, get an Apple II emulator, or at the very least the DOS version. Again, I could be entirely wrong, but I feel like Sony wouldn't really want them to put a game on their system where the vast majority of people literally cannot figure out how to leave the very first room in the game, because it's quite an obtuse way, but important, because it teaches you about minion summoning and their spellcasting.

If you read the thread I stated I spent lots of time running through the chalice dungeons and levelling up because it was the only fun I got in the game. It was probably nearer the 40 to 50 hour mark for when I was even bothering to go through the game.

Also you people don't seem to understand, my point is that the game is easy, thank you for helping further to prove that point.

Chalice Dungeons are mandatory for Platnium so you can't use that excuse.

Plus no one, except you has any pre-conceptions about Bloodborne being ultra hardcore impossible game. Congrats, you beat a game that everyone else in this thread beat. It's also the easiest Platnium in the souls series because there's no grinding for rare drops (although Defiled Chalice is the hardest mandatory content in the series).

Bloodborne has the third highest amount of Platnium trophies on ps4 (not %, but gross numbers). YOU. ARE. NOT. SPECIAL. The only thing remarkable about your Bloodborne experience is that you've probably spend more time wasting your life on /v/ repeating your little speal in every single Bloodborne thread. Getting the plat in 10 days is nothing special it just means you played 10 days in a row. Your playtime is average. The only reason you stand out from the crowd is the baffling behaviour of dedicating your life to sharing something as mundane as this and starting arguments about it.

We don't hate you because you are proving Bloodborne fans wrong. We hate you because you ruin every thread and make it about yourself.

Except it's really easy to clear the game within a few hours in a NG+ run and skipping all the optional content (60% of the game) while also running past enemies because you don't really need any more blood echoes to level up at some point.

t. someone that can clear the game in under two hours which is a slow time by average speedrunning standards
