Actually I would invest more into the other components, the CPU in particular. If I wanted a rendering card I'd make a separate render farm if I had the money, and if I needed it for gaming I'd still stick to a 1080ti.

I have no friends to tell it to to begin with mate. I am not even dreaming or desiring to have one, I just don't see the point of it. Having a 1080ti and a few Quadros separatedly is still more effective even if it would cost more money. That's one thing I'd do. And I'd perhaps jerk off to the 3D models I'd render with it.

My friend is upgrading from a 980ti to a 1080ti because she uses a 240hz monitor and plays exclusively fast paced fps games. I'm happy with my 980ti on a 144hz monitor but I'll probably upgrade to a 4k 144hz next year along with next year's equivalent ti card.

Question: I have never really played on PC before but is it possible to limit every game to max. 60fps in gpu driver utilities or do I need to buy an adaptive sync monitor?

I ask this because my new graphics card will be pretty strong and monitor isn't really designed for gaming.
