DSPGaming bought a PS VR for a total of 800 dollars after the bundle and games. He has yet to put out any video since its launch. And he complained he didn't have enough money to buy a PS4 Pro.

You laugh, but Sony has fuckall for the 9th gen which has snuck up on them. MS has backtracked on Scorpio being limited to the Xbone performance, meaning that while it must have the same games the games can and will be significantly better, and Microsoft is likely dragging out AR again as well. The Switch is selling like hotcakes and while underpowered can graphically match a PS4 while being able to turn into a handheld. Sony needs something new. Never mind that Nintendo will probably fuck them in low end VR too once it gets popular.

It's just impractical to expect that enough people will never want to stand up for hours straight while playing games. The majority will never want that, no matter the innovations you make on the comforts of the device. The only way around it is to develop smaller, simpler games designed for short play sessions rather than longer ones, but then what you get is inferior games to accommodate.

You are pretending that we already know all that is possible and exactly what types of games you can make.
I must say i would rather want a telltale/quantic dream game in VR than i would ever want it just looking at a screen. There are plenty types of games that could be compatible, we have just yet to see them be implemented.

I would like to see a game like persona just with static camera positions for obvious reasons. Something like metal gear solid (the ones where the camera was static) it could all be done.

It was so good in VR and will be even better when it comes to PC next year.

RE was like the best first VR experience for me. I've loved the franchise for 2 decades now, and the gameplay is actually perfect for VR. Action that's not boring but not too fast paced, a focus on exploring and finding key items, escaping things etc. The VR was a great fit.

What i am saying is that you don't HAVE to have motion controls be the center point of the gameplay. You can just have it for smaller things. Especially with PS4 since even the dualshock 4 has the lightbar.
Even if the game is controller only they would still be able to put smaller motion control things into the game.
You don't have to stand up either. It can be seated and mainly on controller.
