They should have picked a strict color code for both factions (grey / black germans vs green / brown gommies is a perfect example of doing it right) and stuck with it
Same goes for headgear, the shape of german helmets is very obvious, you can't mistake a friendly with a calot or round helmet for a german with those stalhelm thing
You can perfectly pick custom options (paintings on helmets, bandaids over parts of the uniform, blood spots, armbands, alternate shirts) as long as it doesn't break the faction's color or silhouette theme
Game devs really have to understand that gameplay is what matter most in a multiplayer videogame, making games more tedious than they're supposed to be is only setting them up for failure, no matter how much more """"realistic"""" it makes their game

Hill is the most fucking busted shit of all time. The ticket gap is significantly bigger than they have EVER been in any RO map and the round timer is longer than it has EVER been on top of that too. VC can hold out at B and C forever but no matter what they do they will always lose on tickets every single time without it even being remotely close.

The map is a glorified TDM where the VC have nowhere near as many tickets and the american have literally everything, all their heli's bar one, all their fucked up artillery, they have their AC, everything.

I played it for 25 minutes and dropped it. After getting used to Insurgency, Titanfall 2 (ps4), BF1, etc, it's hard to go back to UE3 in a game like this. Unreal engine works with smaller maps or smartly designed maps that can hide pop-in, but RS2 just looks like garbage and on top of that has some performance issues. Even RO2 and RS1 look and run better and let you use much better AA instead of forced FXAA. Glad to know that I'll be saving my money.

Also, forgot to note, it's INCREDIBLY easy to differentiate player models and the terrain. You can easily spot targets 150+ meters out if they're prone because of the lighting and their uniform. This holy shit, the SKS is underpowered and feels very inaccurate and weak compared to the M14 which is a total beast.

I swear I shot a guy 5 times with it and he got away, maybe I just barely missed him as 2 where him running sideways and the SKS seems to be shit for hitting guys running across the screen, compared to the M14 anyways. I've been playing the beta and I kinda like this game. Wish hip fire was more easy to figure out. I like that you can move the gun so much, but I can't tell for the life of me where my bullets will actually end up. I'm used to games where the bullets do leave the actual gun, but it doesnt seem to be the case here, that or I'm still bad at it. More than anything, clearing tunnels was a slow and dangerous job because they were rigged with traps. Punji, tripwires, feces, and so on. You went slow or you died.

My biggest gripe with the entire tunnel is, aside from squad tunnels, the covered trenches that go around some VC points don't connect to the sister point. Instead of jumping the trench and exposing myself to sniper fire, I should be living out my moleman fantasies.

I did play RO2 about 13 hours before (Not RS), but I never seen entire squads eliminated by simple artillery barrages and such. In particular I had never even been killed by one in RO2, although I am aware my playtime is still pretty low for that game, and I should get back into it. In 40 mins of gameplay I got killed by like 5 artillery strikes in RS2. I don't know if I should feel lucky or not.

Squad leaders will keep bothering you with their roleplay bullshit asking artillery on their danger close retarded marks.

So you're stuck most of the time waiting near a radio and still have to go and place your own marks.

Then you hear the squad leaders bitching because cooldown takes forever, and how you aren't using their feces like marks.

Then you tell everybody about incoming napalm or artillery barage, but they'll just walk into it anyway getting their themselves and their men killed.

Then they insult you in chat despite you having killed more enemies than anyone in team.

That one point on Cu Chi where there's a forest to its direct south pisses me off when it comes to teammates on burgers. They always get picked off by some enemy squad getting a tunnel there and they never consider going into the forest or further south to clear that shit out, even after someone marked out the tunnel location and several minutes of them dying to the same people shooting at them as they run to the next point.
