Just ignore the buzzword marketing shit on it's steam page. It's also EA, but it's maybe a month from full launch, so now's probably a good time to buy in.

The appeal of games like Arma, Squad or even Red Orchestra is that they require more teamplay, there is an element of strategy that you don't see in the games you mentioned. When you take out a vehicle or a player respawn times are higher, when you take an objective you had to really work for that. It feels like you actually have an impact on the game.

Personally the constant fast pacing in something like Battlefield or CoD just feels numb, if you are constantly shooting and in a fight ALL the time, that is bad pacing. I personally don't find it enjoyable.
