e-e-e-evening...

So we all agree the cab driver was Cain, yeah?
>>
>>377684026
Troika intended it to be him, but White Wolf retconned it

>"WHERE ARE YOU TAKING US"
>>
>>377684026
Probably so, you can see for yourself in the game files where cabbies files are is titled Cain.

>>377684164
Oh well that explains it I guess Troika didn't have enough time to rename their sound files and had to ship the game in its unfinished buggy state.
>>
>>377684164
Yeah, that's bullshit on White Wolf's part. It's fitting, and even made for a good explanation for why everyone was so on edge as time went on.
>>
>>377684312
>someone reposted my shitty oc
god damn

>>377684382
Yeah I guess he was supposed to be doing something else at the time of the game for some book or something.
>>
>>377684382
I new something was up with him ever since I first saw him, when Jack tells you hes you're ride I knew there was something going on... It was pretty weak finding out later in the game because you still had no clue.
>>
>>377683994
I feel bad for thin-bloods. Not enough of the strengths or weaknesses to really define them, but enough of both to become uncomfortable in their own skin. Hated by anyone who understands what they are, even though they themselves don't know what's going on, and being around normal people has to awaken a very uncomfortable hunger that doesn't drive them enough to act on it, but affects them enough to know something is wrong.
>>
>>377683994
If you killed him and not the writer too you are a spineless faggot who gets manipulated by cold undead tits.
>>
>>377684478
It hilarious what are you talking about?
>>
>>377684607
Hey man, Susan is best girl.
>>
>>377684607
Hatter isn't really in the know, and stutterboy there is spineless enough that threatening him would actually probably work forever

>>377684648
I didn't fit the haircut to his head properly basically, made it in like 2 minutes
>>
>>377684607
Can you actually kill the writer? I had no clue you could get away with that shit and I've been playing this game for years.

Well more like I never tried killing the writer because that would fail my quest and i need those 2 EXP points if I have to dance to the chain of some slut well so be it at least she sounds sexy. Too bad her poems suck.
>>
The World of Darkness MMO would have been great. Why can't we have nice things?
>>
>>377684164
Ironically Troika's vision was better than what they came up with, in the end.
>>
>>377684783
That is what makes it so beautiful and amusing layers of JUST
>>
>>377684772
>weakling spotted
She's disgusting once you see through her schemes.
>not bullying her as malk at any opportunity
>>
>>377684847
It would of been shit, a cool teaser trailer and some screenshots wasn't enough to convince anyone.

I mean I liked the game UI and the look of the city and I was hyped about having your own heaven for kicking back but it looked like shit.
>>
>>377684884
at last I truly see

>>377684860
Yeah I heard the book was bad, like a whole lot of the lore stuff.

>>377684847
I'd rather just have another RPG
or just play the fucking tabletop
>>
>>377683994

I always felt horrible killing him but that XP was too sweet to pass up.
>>
>>377684847
MMOs are shit.
>>
>>377684887
And her poems suck.
>>
>>377684164
Ignoring what White Wolf has to say on things, including their own games, is usually a good default strategy.
>>
>>377685017
>Going to LARP meetings with a dozen other neets.

It might be cool tho I've only ever see videos and such of sessions, there's a hobby store in my city where people play VTM but only at night and sabbat scum.
>>
>>377684790

You can kill him but you're specifically instructed not to because Velvet likes him. If you do kill him she gets really pissed off.
>>
>>377683994
This location always weirded me out. Isn't this the same spot you need to take to get to where the Elizabeth Dane was? Also the same spot where you might kill a bunch of guys by a cliff. It just seems so compact.
>>
>>377685208
Ideally playing with friends would be nice. Less chances of running into the really freaky types
>>
>>377685208

LARP is a totally different thing man. LARPing is when you all get into costume and act like giant faggots. Tabletop is just getting together with some buds sitting down at a table and rolling some dice for a few hours. Most people that tabletop are fairly normal social dudes. Autism is discouraged. Most dudes that LARP are a bit cringey. Although WoD typically has a bit worse demo than other tabletops.
>>
>>377684607
I don't know what the big deal with the writer is. Isn't it better to leak shit on a fictional level? That way anyone who says they saw some shit would get laughed at and be told to go back to their Twilight novels or whatever.

>>

You say that as if those dudes on a table rolling dice didn't act cringeworthy I've been in a few tables and some of them have some autistic/edgy faygots to ruin it for some or all players.
>>
>>377685605
That fucking velociraptor gets me every time because I keep forgetting about it.
>>
>>377685645
Tell somebody, preferably the GM, that you're new and unsure what to do. If they're a good one they'll understand and try to prompt you a bit to get you started.

>>377685943
If I could be guaranteed a good GM once a week for life I would probably give up on vidya desu.
>>
>>377685981
That's why you get your friends to do it

>>377686038
>If I could be guaranteed a good GM once a week for life I would probably give up on vidya desu.
same actually
>>
>>377686038
That was like three years ago. I only did it for a friend though, I don't see the appeal.
>>
>>377685930
Okay imagine that you're in the Illuminati so, basically some dude has written in detail how you operate what it is you do and others in your sekrit club.

Wouldn't you be pissed and worried?
>>
>>377686137
>written in detail
I doubt it would be in detail. The guy was a thinblood after all. All he probably knew was that older vampires fucked over the younger ones and ran a lot of society. The actual details of that would be vague enough to not really get normies suspicious
>>
>>377686092
>Cast obfuscate
>*Rolls 20*
>*Grabs the neck of your shirt*
Back the fuck off?!
>>
>>377686215
You're forgetting the current year and setting in the game.

Zionist world where every conspiracy seems believable because it is.
>>
>>377686328
Yeah but there's shitloads of disinfo all around about that. Basically everyone in the Camarilla would discredit it, as well as the bigwigs in the Technocracy to keep the people asleep. Even if it was a lot more detailed the average person would just think of it as a really well done movie and leave it at that
>>
>>377686137
Release that shit into the wild. When you show something in the guise of fiction, it stops being the truth to the masses.
>>
>>377684164
White Wolf also has the motto "ignore what you don't like, everything is canon."

So Cain was the cab driver.
>>
>>377686235

>>
>>377688406

You end up doing all of her dirty work. Of course she's manipulating you.
>>
>>377688406
Because she is doing just that. Remember what future telling half vamp chick tells you when you ask her who you can trust? The man on the couch(Mercurio) and the wolf(Beckett), all others, tread carefully. Other than the aforementioned two, everyone is either trying to screw you, or get you to do shit for them. Now that I think about it, Mercurio tries to get you to do something for him as well, but he's straight forward about it, he just flat out asks you, no bullshit, no lies, hell, he even gives you info that could fuck him over if you tell anyone what he tells you.
>>
>>377688457
She asks you to do it, and you can choose not to do it. There's no manipulating. Since when is being offered a reward considered manipulating.
>>377688537
Why was there no TON in the game? They even have Tiamat's vocalist imitating Pete, but no actual TON.

>this is spoopier than most modern horror games
>>
>>377688585
>>377688608
How is she manipulating you though? She asks you to help her, she isn't keeping you in the dark/pulling strings/anything.
It's all well and good brining up that quote from Rosa(?) but that doesn't change the fact that VV was genuine in game.
>>
>>377688910
Because those were tasks given to her, for her to do. She manipulates you into doing them, so that if they get fucked up, it's your head on the chopping block, not hers. That's just how vampire society works, everyone is trying to get one over on everyone else.
>>
>>377688585
>You end up doing all of her dirty work.
It's an RPG. That's literally what you do for everyone.
>>
>>377689025
But that's not manipulating? If I've been asked to paint a fence, and I offer to pay you to do it, have I manipulated you? Of course not.
You're not wrong about the game being about the player getting manipulated by many people - I mean just look at that ending - but I don't understand why VV is singled out.
>>
>>377689679
>>377688910
>>377688406
It's the way she phrases her requests. She's not only asking you to perform a task for her, she's using emotional language to dress it up as if she's the victim of injustices beyond her control. But the thing about vampires, even Toreadors, is that they don't actually care about others. All that matters is the blood. Weren't you listening to Jack?

That screenwriter? Susan doesn't give two shits about him beyond his potential for getting her executed. Toreadors are good at faking emotions, but that's all they're really doing. Faking.
>>
>>377690121
Why would she not want you to kill the writer if she doesn't care? She clearly has feelings for him.
>>
>>377690295
More loose ends, more people asking questions. The hunter obviously had to go because, barring her being paralyzed, she would never let up. On the other hand, the screenwriter could be talked into giving up his script without the need for bloodshed. It's the same reason why you're given so many quests that ask you to remain hidden, it's just a different sort of stealth.
