I've been a huge fan of Operation Flashpoint/ArmA since 2001, and I really enjoy Battlegrounds. Most people are not like me, though, so I don't see why it's so popular. Bought it yesterday, played a few rounds solo and got destroyed in minutes. Figured out how to play, lasted a little longer. Played today with friends, ended up getting 1st three times in a row with my squad, none dead.

Shooting mechanics feel pretty good, some of the weapons are out of whack right now, menu UI is a little stupid, but for a very playable alpha I'm okay with that - I think the only thing that could be added right now to make me really happy would be a vaulting system for getting over walls and smaller, chest height walls.

Other than that, fucking fun as fuck.
