It's dying because with a limited amount of heroes, it's harder for the game to have a power creep effect. After a player gets 1 or 2 solid teams filled with 5-stars there isn't really a reason to keep chasing after each new hero, there just isn't that much to do with them once you have your elite eight.

They need to come up with something to inject more playability into the game. I started last weekend and I'm already at a point where it's just too tedious to play after the three arena battles.

Somewhat the same here. Lilina and Gwen have been on my team since really early on, so they would still be my top Merit units, but Camilla would for sure be in third had this mechanic come into play sooner, considering she was my first 5* and everything.

Sure. The wiki suggests riposte, but I'm more fond of using her as a tank/support who can dish out huge damage once or twice a match. Wary is great on her, and I use HP up to give her a bit of extra bulk so she can stay in Wary range longer. C is up to you, but swap/pivot is a must for any knight, and an attack skill that scales off def really helps her deal with things like Effie and Ephriam.

Yeah, distant counter is only a must on her Riposte build, and honestly you're better off using Hector for that anyway. It would help with pesky mages, but I have other units to take care of those. Only bother with DC if you have Hectors to spare.
