Combine IS and EP, than have full 3D battles with the gameplay of IVA with some improvements to its dungeon design and balance, and having the ability to play in first person or third person if you so desire. You now have the greatest Megaten game ever on your hands since the plot and OST are already good.

Yeah most of the old SMT games aren't that great either. Basically Megami Tensei II happened, then the series was on repeat until Nocturne came around.

But they were at least fast and relatively hands-off with their storytelling.
