You think they've changed the faces overtime? One of the NPCs in the trailer was pretty normal looking.

Do I have to finish Xenoblade to play Chronicles?
I enjoyed the the first one but I tried doing all the side quest and got overwhelmed

Xenoblade Chronicles and X are completely unrelated besides some winks and nods, and a race or two shared on the side characters list. You can play either or with no real consequence. Xenoblade 2 on the other hand is probably going to be related to the first game for obvious reasons.
