No joke but ME3 is a perfect example of this. The ending where you just walk away is the only good ending out of the four. Sure, the galaxy gets shitwrecked by the reapers in the end, but that was your decision. It was the only ending that made it feel like you made a choice. The reapers win so it renders every decision you've made up until now moot but it was the last point in the game where you could do something with a meaningful impact. The other three endings, not only carried none of the weight brought on by previous choices, but they were all the same with a different color. Walking away was the only ending where something was actually different. Not to mention, the speech in Liara's recording to whatever new civilization rose to replace the one the reapers wiped out actually had an emotional impact to it. The shitty feel-good "we can rebuild" garbage all just felt so forced and phony.
