Here's a gutter that filled up with water. This really reminded me of Pikmin 3, and would make a really cool water themed part of an area, maybe even having the drain be the exit to a cave, or shortcut that started at the top of a house.

There's a theory that Bulbmin ARE the green Pikmin. We can't see it, but there are Pikmin rooted inside the Bulborbs so that they can control them. When they sit idle, Bulbmin's leaves/bulbs/flowers glow green, so it may very well be that Bulbmin are actually the Green Pikmin. For that matter, I also believe the Pink and Black onions, as well as the Purple one we see in the end of the first game are onions for their respective types (Rock, Flying, Purple). Even though we can't recieve Green, Purple, or White onions to hold Pikmin in any game so far I believe that other regions on the planet may contain them.

Pikmin 3? It takes a lot of repetition and familiarizing yourself with the layout of the course to figure out an effective route. Just start out doing whatever, and then when it's not good enough, ask yourself "how can I do this better?" or "what can I have my copilots do while I'm doing this?"

The more consistent you get, the more you'll notice everything fall together like pieces of a puzzle. You'll know at exactly what point of your route that another group of Pikmin will be done with a certain task, and you'll be able to capitalize on that. It really is a natural process that just takes a lot of time to feel out the solution. It's like taking a giant cube of clay and creating a refined sculpture. You have to repeatedly shave away bits here and there to create time saves until you have the whole level down to a science.

Next, we have some potted plant outside my bedroom window, which kind of gave me a cool idea for a cave in a house themed area. And yes, I posted this before in a pikmin thread quite a while ago, but I lost mine and couldn't find the thread I posted it in, so if any kind anon's know where some of those threads are, I would auck your dicks.

Anyway, this potted plant could be in an off-shoot garden area of a house themed area, where you access it by getting up tho this window ledge, where the window will probably be open or broken, then building a long bridge to cross over to the pot, which seems to be sitting in the middle of nowhere, with nothing but a long expance of grass around it.
The cave itself with be Cloaking Burrownit themed (or whatever Pikmin 3's versions of it are called), with a Queen Burrownit as the end of cave boss. The cave itself started out as an ant hill style burrow system underground, starting with the potted plant, which has a hole going through it straight into the ground. The burrow was made when the queen was much smaller, which is evident by how masisve it will be compared to the entrance when you see it at the end of the cave.

I don't have a Wiimote, Nunchuck, and Bluetooth so I couldn't try out the New Play Controls when I emulated. Didn't feel like trying to learn a new Mouse and Keyboard set up, but when I tried Pikmin 3's Stylus mode added in an update it was amazing. I hope they put it in Day 1 for Pikmin 4, or hell, bring the Old games onto Switch and add that as an option.

ive been starting up an idea loosely based on the pikmin series but i cant say anything about it cause my brain is fucked up and will loose all drive to work on it if its praised before its even made

All these pikmin threads made me want to play again, so I decided to emulate the GC games. After a while, the game just stops saving though. My last one is on day 6, but I know I got further than that. Does anyone know what's causing that?

A game that has a little more enemy density with slightly faster enemy reaction
Pikmin 2 was a little too light for my tastes and it was the most combat focused of them all.
It was also way too easy to just bait enemies to death with very little risk due to how aggro worked.

I want really big levels with longer timers that have lots to do in them. So that I can't just speed through an area in a day and then never have to worry about enemies untill they all respawn a week later.

If enemy locations and spawn rates were somewhat randomized above ground I think that would be good.

A night(mare) mode scenario where the ships engine breaks and you need to survive on the planet until you can fix it is a must.

Also unnerf everything except for stunlocking things with purples.

This is the kind of stuff I want in Pikmin games, Earth's lore getting progressively revealed as new games come out

Pikmin 3 should have had a hard mode where each Captain you have has to drink their own bottle of juice, so you go through three a day instead of one. I never felt like I was in any danger of running out.

Also they could have put in one more world before the final area that introduced White and Purples. The game was too short.

Not particularily dangerous either, but I had plenty of fun fucking around testing how they worked in challenge mode.

If you whistle at just the right time you can even get them to follow you around like normal pikmin.
You can't throw them, but directing with C is possible.

Just don't try and have a mixed group with regular pikmin they'll kill each other if you aren't careful.

I really really REALLY want the Puffstools and the Puffmin back, I even came up with a weather idea that involves Puffstools
