Just saw this movie. Fucking loved it. It's a movie for mature adults. That probably sounds cringey to a lot of people but it's true. I don't mean it has violence and cussing. I mean it addresses themes and problems that real adults face. Finding out you have a kid that you didn't know about. Dealing with a difficult kid. Dealing with a senile parent that's on their way out(Xavier). Every goddamn minute is filled with this stuff. When they're having dinner with the black family and the girl starts taking all the corn and Logan is like, "Share you little cunt." It's 100% relatable to anyone who has ever had a kid. It blew me away how realistic it was for a movie about cape shit.

Well, to be fair, the Hulk just fucking snatches him up and eats him without any trouble. But there's not much he can do about someone inside him cutting his spine apart.

I was so not fucking expecting such a genuinely great movie holy shit. The audio alone was better than anything I've seen in ages as well. I figured the black and white thing would be a cheap gimmick but it actually looked like it was shot for that format, the contrast and grading were spot on and almost every shot was composed so damn well.

It's actually stuck with me. I decided to get the blu ray since it comes with the Noir version. For anyone who's seen both, does the regular color version even compare? I rewatched the trailers and it doesn't look like anything special from the color grading. I was surprised the monochrome actually enhanced the mood and atmosphere. Fuck, what a great movie.

What about the third act fell short for you? For me I think I loved that the movie is basically three vignettes, one per act. A lot of reviews said it dragged in the second act but that was my favorite part.
