My two right shoulder buttons (RT and Rwhatever) of my New 3DS XL got their input sticky.

I say input because the buttons themselves are not actually sticky or jammed, I can press them normally, but my 3DS acts as if they are always pressed, thus making 99% of all games unplayable.

The first case was pretty good - much more stronger than DD's first case (which took itself way too seriously and dragged on a bit too much). The general dialogue was much better, and the Mirror gimmick is fun. Took a bit to get used to, though. Rayfa is also kinda cute, but I haven't seen much of her yet, so my opinion may change.

Generally, it was on point, and it's much better than DD was. Plus, it's nice to have Phoenix by himself, and him in the new courtroom setting was nice. Much better than him and Athena doing their thing.

So far, Case 2 has been pretty good. If you're >>377675024, then Ema comes back and it's a nice breath of fresh air. Athena's still Athena, so if you hated her in DD, it's not like she's a completely different character. A bit more tolerable though, and Apollo is better written. Like Case 1, the writing is much better, and they've brought back investigating anywhere (although, they do limit you at times for story purposes, such as the beginning of the case).

Compared to DD, it's great, but I don't think it comes near the better parts of AA or T&T. It might come near those, or surpass them, as I'm still quite early in the game, but so far it seems like it's going to be good.

By the way, continue with DD. The last case has an interesting twist (although it drags on a bit), and the DLC case is pretty fun. Plus, you get more Blackquill. Who doesn't want more Blackquill?

Oh right, another thing. DD has this weird "feature" where you can skip through dialogue if you mash A. Same thing with PLvsAA, but Layton has always had that, so I can't blame them for having it. It generally makes the game worse as a whole, and the pacing is fucked because of it. However, the textspeed is generally much slower compared to the original series, so it's almost necessary so you're not spending a while waiting for the text to display.

SoJ gets rid of it, and the game feels a lot better as a whole. Just something I thought to mention. It's a small aspect, but it's one that improves the game by a bunch.

ORAS got announced the May after the October 2014 release of XY. It's not impossible for a third version/sequel/remake announcement to come out within a month or two. I doubt it'll be E3, though. Pokemon likes to do its own thing with announcing mainline games compared to the rest of Nintendo. No doubt a purposeful decision, for any number of reasons.

anyone else scared ever oasis will be some piss easy baby's first ARPG? the gameplay bits shown are far too slow and shallow when it comes to combat, which is a real turn off for me since right now it just seems like "fantasy life 2: fantasy harder", and FL is a snorefest already. The whole cutesy art and style also makes me believe this will be a really tame title overall

Animal Crossing is great, man. I would go with New Leaf if you're just looking to get into it and have a /comfy/ time. But generally Animal Crossing GCN is viewed as the best of the series. I love that one, too, but New Leaf is just... so comfy.
