Anyone else feeling this?
>have tons of games in the backlog
>have hacked consoles to play even more
>have PC with emulators to play even more
>cant find even one game I truly love
>it's been years since I played something I've gotten utterly engrossed in
Should I buy a PS4 or a Switch to play Zelda or Horizon or whatever in hopes of finding a game to hook me? Or is this just a passing feeling? At this point I'm thinking about giving paid MMO's a shot.

Yes.

You're getting old OP. I know the feeling. I'm 26.
>>377652949
You should take a break with something else, go watch a TV show or read a book.
I'm so fucking bored all the time and have tons of games to play, yet I never feel inspired to play any of them. If I do, I'll start it up for 20min and get bored again.
As to your second question, I can't answer about Horizon/PS4, but I got a Switch and had a lot of fun playing Zelda. Both are good choices I bet.
You should get new hobbies, video games bore you
t. guy who browses /v/ casually and barely plays games anymore

Go accomplish shit like go to the gym then you'll feel like playing games again because you "earned it". Welcome to being older.

B-but I'm only 23.
Fuck, I feel like I'm loosing years of my life. I had to think about my age for a moment because I could have sworn I was still 21.
OP here's my secret:play some casual games, like Sims 4 or Tomodachi Life or animal crossing. In a week you'll be dying for complexity
that or just read fanfiction and go on tumblr and look up video game memes until you wanna play again
time to start drinking.

>>377653397Unless you have some sort of dramatic reason for living like something out of an anime don't feel bad. The world is shit and humanity will eventually snuff out like a kitchen match. Just be happy.
this is pretty much everything in my life. i spend most of my time trying to think of something appealing/worth doing and ultimately end up doing nothing. you probably have the depression meme m8

>depression meme
Is there anything that isn't a memeyou're also literally me

Literally how I am. Usually I just lay down and watch dumb shit on my TV

I was like that for a long time and still get like that occasionally but I learned that it is cured by forcing yourself to do things.
If you have something that feels like "I wish I could get myself to do that" or "I wish I wanted to play that game" then force yourself to boot up the game. It sounds simple but it just works.

Give her a go, anon.
Games were fun when I was a poorfag college student and could barely afford it.
Now that I have a good job with stable income I just buy the games I want but then I end up doing other shit like riding my motorcycle on the weekends or contemplating suicide.
It's 4chan, dude
You're addicted to this place, and like any addict it's grown to depress you to the point where you don't feel like doing anything else
Leave. Even if you do nothing else but stare at a wall, leave. Eventually you'll want to do something, anything, and it'll be fun just to have something to do. But you have to force yourself not to come here
I have like 1500 games on an external drive and idek if I like video games anymore. Is this just depression?

What if I need to interact with other humans?
>tfw you become interested in some games but before you can play them you have to buy and install new hardware
>>377655496
This.
This place is a source of instant gratification. Why use the brain power to play a game for satisfaction when you can just get on here and have a bunch of info and pictures and stimulus thrown at you.
