remember gameshark and all those cheating devices for consoles released at walmart or gamestop? you will never see these for modern consoles.
>>
>>377652903
well what's there to cheat on exactly? modern games are easy as fuck, and not really compelling to create cheats for.

games that are more fun with cheats usually have them built in like gta 5 anyway.
>>
>>377652985
>modern games are easy as fuck,
I bet you can't beat Devil May Cry 1 on hard or Ninja Gaiden 2
>>
>>377652985
>well what's there to cheat on exactly
to create fun codes or get past annoying shit like collect 999 of one item for a trophy/achievement. it's fun to use codes after you beat a game. shit like moonjumping, speedhacking, having every item accessible early in the game, etc.
>>
>>377652517
I still don't get why this was even a thing.

>Remember that thing you had to carry with you everywhere to trade pokemon?

>We've now made it more convenient, by making another thing you have to carry around with you everywhere.
>>
>>377653207
you could attach it to your gameboy advance and leave it on there. no wires dangling around everywhere you go.
>>

i said modern games. unfortunately for us, devil may cry 1 isn't fucking modern anymore. plus there are gamesharks for ps2/gc/xbox.

>>377653142
i do miss the action replay bug manipulating side of cheat devices. that kind of thing was always fun to fuck with.
>>
>>377652870
I just know I was obsessed with it, as well as a lot of friends, but none of ours have seen the light of day for a decade. I guess it's more DDR is obsolete than the actual accessory.
>>377652903
I actually owned this disk for KH, but didn't realize until just now it also has FFX which is one of my favorite games currently. Time to try and find it.

I could never get this goddamn thing to work, ever

It made a useful weapon though
>>
>>377652656
That was really more of a collectors piece. No dumbass went in to a store wanting that as an actual controller
>>
>>377652903
the best gameshark/action replay was the one that let you make your own codes. the later versions got rid of that functionality so they make you buy the newest discs.
>>
>>377653346
DDR was only good up to extreme, maybe extreme 2 anyway. past that were all home console releases with too much western pop trash.

i have an install of stepmania on my pc with every single mix up to extreme, with extreme's theme as well. basically made playing on consoles completely obsolete. but i still have a thick foam pad and a couple arcade pads i use to play now and then.
>>
>>377653273
But you still have to be within three feet of the person you're trading with.

And now you can ONLY trade pokemon, you can't use it for anything else, and you still need a link cable to play Advance Wars or whatever

AND you need TWO things, one for each person, instead of just the one link cable!
So much more convenient!

It got better with the DS, when everything was built in, but this was a really awkward and ultimately unnecessary sidestep
>>
>>377652383

Oh shit. I should look into that then.
>>
>>377652383
>>377652317

That's because it was, you fucking casual. Before the days of backlights, this shit wasn't an option, it was a necessity. Did you ever have a road trip at night and mom told you to turn the fucking overhead in your car off?

There's several sports games, Indies and racing games that runs native 4k on the PS4Pro Also Sony wanted frame-rate parity between the PS4 and the Pro version for the sake of fair play which Microsoft would also implement that on Scorpio and Sony never really promised 60 fps, It was journalist and the social media that keeps memeing that it would do 60fps at 4k when they first heard the rumors about the PS4Pro. Sony disclaimed all of that for legal issue and to avoid another class action lawsuits

Had one of these. Loved them, and wish they were still made.
