Just got back into the game and decided to start a completely fresh character, Just leveling WC and Fishing now as f2p.

I'm gonna get membership at some point but I'm not sure how deep into f2p I wanna go beforehand, complete all f2p quests? Hit a certain threshold of stats?

Back in the day I made a new character and got membership right away so I felt like I missed out on a lot of f2p gameplay since I never bothered doing it since the membership stuff was cooler

Bonds and treasure hunter.
Bonds sell for 14m each (cost about £4) and can be used for membership and treasure hunter keys. People just buy and sell bonds for in-game gold. Treasure hunter gives XP lamps and protean items which can results in crazy XP. Afriend (a youtuber) spent like twenty-grand using only treasure hunter and pretty much maxed an account just buy doing spins.

Darkscape was scrapped which is a damn shame because it was the best thing jagex ever done. It was a community as tight as 2008/9.

Players are concentrated in a few areas in rs3. Literally next to no players in the world unless its an event, some players in varrock GE and everyone in Priff.
RS3 is definitely not dead but don't expect to meet people until mid/end game content.

RS3 PvM makes vastly less money than OSRS PvM. It's why I quit RS3, that and the annoying combat system.

OSRS has by my count 7 bosses with drops north of 30m, which conservatively converts to about 200m in RS3. RS3 has 2 bosses that drop stuff 200m or over. Most PvM in RS3 is just dead after EoC causing the items to be worthless.
