I think it was a really good idea (more stat spreads to choose from at a given iLevel is always good, and more stat spreads to choose from at a given patch's *max* iLevel is essential), but they fucked up by having the upgrade items go from being excessively scarce during the progression patch, and then excessively common/easy to get during the catch-up patch.

They should bump them down to giving out the accessory upgrade items on the first fight of the tier, the gear upgrade items on the second, the weapon upgrade items on the third, and then the final fight of the tier should give you one of each.

That along with the token system would basically be about right.

Every piece of tank gear in Stormblood will have parry as one of its stats. It won't be a bonus third stat like healer accuracy in ARR. You will only be able to meld stats that can roll on gear, so healers can't meld accuracy any more. Accessories will be locked to specific jobs to stop tanks using STR accessories with slightly better secondaries, and primary stats won't be meldable at all.

PvP is sync to ilvl 150, but you'll need ilvl 180+ gear if you want the maximum allowed secondaries.
Materia doesn't work in PvP. The best gear you can equip in PvP is stuff that has secondaries your class needs.
You'll also need at least 430 acc to not miss on normal shit, you can't do anything about Featherfoot or blind. You can hit 430 ACC with 3 ACC accessories or 1 ACC Head/Foot/Arm + 1 ACC accessory.

No, it's not like other mmos where pvp gear give you a relatively unfair advantage, though it used to in the form of the morale stats but not anymore.

You can go in with any kind fo gear because your ilvl get synch to 150.
What's more important is not the type of kind you wear (though you would want for them to be at least ilvl 180/190 to get the maximum out of them) but the secondary stats.

Crit/det is king, you want the minimum accuraccy possible with the max crit/det you can.
IIRC you need at least 430 accuracy in pvp to not miss, which can be easily get with One Head/hand/feet accuracy + 1 accessory or 3 accessories.

But that's really only if you care about doing the most damage possible, if you want to test you you can just go with your PVE gear without 0 problem.

That is a simple issue and Ragnarok solved it easily. To hit enemies with "Support magic" (IE, magic you use on allied players), you had to hold shift.

Or you could type in the chat /ns (which means noshift). There. With this simple method you are able to safely use skills on enemies without ever doing it accidentaly.

Actually MCH is a fucking STRONG in PVP because they have one of the strongest PVP skill call Between the Eyes (aka BTE) which got nerfed recently.
Before, when you used it on someone who was root, stun, or asleep, you would get a potency of 150x3 (450) on them.
So buffed with Raging strike + Hawk's Eye + B4B it was deadly as fuck.
Now it's down to 150x2.5 (375) it's still very good to kill anything squishy.
