Never understood why people acted like the rts segments ruined it, the gameplay wasn't particularly good between them so they just added some variation if anything. Brutal Legend is definitely worth playing but it's for the soundtrack, plot and setting. Exploring that land was a joy

The RTS on Brutal Legend actually wasn't bad. If anything it's the least objectionable console RTS I had seen up to that point. Maybe the rhythm sections used for special attacks were freaking people out? Maybe it's just that console + RTS = "poison" to some people? I don't know.

My favorite line was stolen right from Twisted Sister back when they were thinking of banning/censoring metal in the 80's and people were speaking out at a hearing in defense of Metal and free speech in general.

Oh yes. Just flipping between the factions kept things fresh. I wish you could have used Lionwhite as well, but even three solidly different factions was good enough to be fun and interesting. Meanwhile I was cussing at those damned balloons.

My only real nitpick beside balance issues was the fact that they got the music genres mixed up. Tainted Coil and Drowned Doom have most of their songs reversed, IMHO. Small nitpick, but as a goth-type it irked me.

This game was the nail in the coffin for episodic game play for nearly a decade. It was pirated to everloving hell and back and shiton for not being a remake of the original's multiplayer. The actually does come with Source ports of the original and its expansion, but pirates wouldn't know that.

Yet another good game that gets shit on for wanting to do something new or interesting. For an arena brawler, it was relatively well balanced, bots had interesting gimmicks, arenas kept things fresh, and it was reduced to a $5 gamestop liquidation anyway.

Obviously the haters are retarded, or simply not ass-men. The problem with the game happens all at once. Just when you are ready to get off of that worthless planet, events happen, repeatedly, which keep you trapped there. When you are finally able to board a spaceship, it ends up being a short trip to the final dungeon.

Peak comfy game right here. People went in expecting 100 hours of content like in Oblivion, instead it had a 6 hour story and another 15-20 hours of collecting keys/gargoyles/legendary weapons. It's a great game and one of the few that does collecting right.
