Any tips for keeping this build in the first game? Before GFWL kicked the bucket and took my save file with it, I was loving polearm & shield with elite knight armor. Last thing I killed was Moonlight Butterfly, shortly after getting the armor.

REmake balances thing a bit more I think, Chris gets a better shotgun and finds more ammo for it and the magnum (since there's no grenade ammo). I think Chris can also take more damage.

If can aim worth shit then the tmp lets you casually kneecap everything on the planet in a single mag, and since the kick sweeps all surrounding ganados you can kill like 3 of them with a single bullet by whipping out the knife and stabbing them to death when they're floored.

Both Jill and Chris have access to the assault shotgun and magnum.

Chris has better natural stats like knife damage, move speed, aim speed, and health. Jill has the lockpick, Barry to help out with shit, and more inventory space.

Chris has Rebecca for heals, and flash grenade > taser. He's still the harder of the two just because of his inventory limitation and need to get minor keys.

I've just replayed through BB on a BT build with the right gems. Transform attack does absolute bullshit amounts of damage, you're one shotting nearly every basic enemy even on NG+

I included it as something better than the Drake Sword, not as an end-game-viable weapon. Excepting the Faith requirement I found it better.

Pretty sure you have to slip them in one by one with scope equipped bolt action rifles, but that would be PAINFULLY slow in a game like RE4 where even fairly quick reloads can be dangerous, so they decided to fudge it a little and let you use a speed loader.

if you don't know how to use it properly you'll get punished badly by faster weapons but if you know how to properly track enemies when you attack you'll be unstoppable. I think it has S scaling by default or once you upgrade a little.
